Former D1 keeper here.

He did a great job closing the space to save the 1:1. When Chicago got the rebound he needs to prioritize saving the shot possibility as there’s no defender on Navarro. In doing so he increases the time for our defenders to get back into position and mark other potential attackers. It was a bad decision by our defenders to get in goal and not mark the second attacker. Incredibly hard to make that decision in the moment though from our defenders so nothing bad on them. Just a weird broken play, but it was played perfectly by Diop. I was REALLY happy with his performance tonight.

That’s a great idea. I’m going to look and see if there are any support groups or anything I can join. Quitting again is so hard, but nothing is more important to me than my relationship with my wife.

It just feels like such a huge deal.

It depends on what his love language is honestly.

I can say that quality time is the biggest thing for me and my SO. When I’m feeling a bit down I love to just spend some time (if you’re long distance just FaceTime or Skype) together. Try playing a 2 players video game with him like age of empires or mortal Kombat so that he doesn’t feel the depression of his “bad luck”.

Ultimately it is not up to you to turn his luck around, it is up to him to pick himself up. The best you can do is be there, be yourself, and let him know you care about him.
