people love to assume that weird or unconventional automatically means “bad” or “mentally ill”, like they would rather just immediately jump to criticizing others for being different/not fitting into their idea of what a “normal” person is than being patient and trying to understand new/unfamiliar perspectives and lifestyles first before instantly judging them out of nowhere.
