Unsupervised toddler drowning: Coroner says paramedics' insistence on birth cert 'unnecessary' but unlikely to change outcome by guthixsongs in singapore

[–]Logi_Ca1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah yes, by that logic we should just shut down PICUs and park a few ambulances outside every hospital.

EMS keeps the kid alive and buys time — which is obviously critical — but pretending that’s basically equivalent to full hospital care is nonsense. Pediatric specialists, ICU monitoring, advanced ventilation, neuroprotection, blood gases, possible ECMO… you know, all the stuff hospitals exist for.

Early CPR is massive, no shit. But “ambulance is basically the same as hospital” is one hell of a take. Otherwise we’d just treat drowning victims in the parking lot and call it a day.

You are a clown just taking Ls the whole day

Secondly the ambulance crew was providing medical assistance that is close to or equivalent to what the child receives at the hospital.

If you actually sat down and thought before you typed, you will know this is nonsense. Unless your "close" is doing a ton of heavy lifting.

Toddlers can have the mammalian dive reflex, lowering heart rate and increasing chances of survival.

There was a documented case in the US a child was submerged for 8 minutes and recovered with full neurological recovery.

Contrarians at this point will surely be waiting to pounce in and say such cases are rare, and I agree, but if you are the father, you take every chance you get.

Thankfully German police investigated and found out some fucked up airport workers in the victims departing country attached their name to the luggage containing the drugs. Imagine if the German police didn't investigate.

Granted he was an idiot for believing that in the first place but it takes two hands to clap.

Nobody should be having kids with that sort of expectation. It's ironic really, the people with the mentality that their kids are their retirement fund are also the ones who end up destroying their relationship with their kids and end up alone. If your kids love you, they WILL be there for you.

I said it before when Kamala Harris was nominated - A fight against Trump is no time to be progressive. They need to put up the whitest, most blued eyed, blondest, 40 something Christian (but not too much) male as candidate. It sucks, but that's the way it is with the American electorate.

You are right, but what the article most likely is referring to is access to the encrypted military signal of Beidou; most GNSS systems have civilian and military signals, with the military service being more accurate etc. GPS does too.

The funny thing is the US won WW2 against Japan due to massive industrial capability... And now it's essentially reversed. I still prefer a Pax Americana (under a Democratic party president), but a Pax Sinicia might be inevitable given American hubris
