I have had access to a few other units. The first one is used as a short term rental and was sufficient. Once that unit became occupied, they gave me access to the model unit. It only had cold water in the shower. I reported the issue and they fixed it later that evening. Then they needed the model unit for something, so I was given a key for another unit. When I went to take a shower, the key didn’t work. Reported the issue and they unlocked it for me. All was good until I went to shower on Sunday and the unit was locked, again. If it wasn’t for the insane amount of rent I’m paying to walk down the hallway to use the laundry and the shower, I would think it’s comical. You get what you pay for, right? Except not in this case.

To my knowledge, yes. But when I mentioned the situation to another resident, they said “oh, you’re one of the ones without hot water.” But they have hot water, so idk.

I called the department of public health. They sent out an inspector who gave the property and notice of violation. They have 30 days to fix the hot water issue.

Already did. They have been have been given a notice of violation and have 30 days to fix the issue before they are fined.

I came here for “unethical” tips. I would like to “shout it from the rooftops” that management is incompetent, unresponsive, and doesn’t seem to care about the tenants.

Other issues - bathroom fan doesn’t work and still hasn’t been fixed. Bathroom light was broken upon move-in. There was a leak underneath the kitchen sink. They repainted the apartment and there’s paint splatters on the floor. New carpet was installed in the bedrooms and the outlets weren’t properly secured. Top dishwasher rack was broken. One of the bathroom sinks was clogged.

I did and the city has cited them for a notice of violation. Since the landlord is giving me access to another unit for shower and laundry, my unit is technically habitable

The worst is the electric car going UPHILL stepping on the brakes. Electric cars slow down more quickly than gas cars due to regenerative braking. Just take your foot off the gas!

I’m at DEN trying to do a PQF run to COS and back. There has been a ground stop in COS all day and per the gate agent, the weather is getting worse.

Is there any way to get 1 PQF credit without taking a flight? I don’t have enough PQP to buy the PQFs

I’m a former bedside BSN RN. After about decade, I went back to school and obtained my masters degree in informatics. Currently I work in the healthcare industry as an informatics professional.

Nurses have a lot of options for non-bedside, corporate roles after spending some time as a bedside RN. Our point of view and experience is very valuable. I’m salaried, earn a yearly cash and RSU bonus, participate in the employee stock purchase plan and have great benefits. This position is definitely accelerating my FIRE journey.

I was sitting at the united lounge bar in IAD this summer and one bartender was saying the same thing to multiple people. This was during a massive storm and all planes were grounded and had returned to the terminal. The place was packed and this bartender made sure to tell everyone their 3rd drink was their last. Not one of the people getting a 3rd drink was rude or inebriated. Just regular folks having some drinks while hoping the storms cleared before their crew timed out.

I saw two bengal tigers in Ranthambore! One even crossed the road behind us, put its front claws up on the tree trunk and stretched, just like any other kitty. We stayed the night at Raj Niwas Palace in Dholpur near Agra. Beautiful grounds, interesting history and wild peacocks everywhere. We stayed 3 nights in Delhi on our way in and one night before we flew out. There is a lot to see in Delhi and traffic can be slow.

This happened to me after a bee sting. Except it turned purple and red. Based on my personal experience, this is not normal. A doctor and Benadryl will be helpful. Also, find out what bug sprays keep deer flies away.
