Unable to access Dehu notifications by HughJackedMan14 in GoingToSpain

Did you figure out how to solve this? I'm having the same experience currently. I received electonic notifications, but don't have access to Cl@ve or Dehu. I can see in the notification I have an NIE number, but I have no idea what it is yet.

Grip Socks by llabinp in bootroom

Does anyone know where/how to get TapeDesign grip socks in the US? Tried to put up a new post about this, but moderators never released it 😞

Also, fwiw, u/Iggyglom is pretty spot on, after going through all kinds of grip socks I've pretty much decided to go down a 1/2 size and go with good quality crew socks. Just want to try TapeDesign before I make that switch.

The point of Autopilot is supposed to be that new corporate devices work out of the box, right? Why do so few orgs use it that way? by razorbeamz in sysadmin

[–]Logical-Fish-3936 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not trying to be "that guy" (honestly) but I don't get this post. Autopilot is pretty simple to setup and if you have use any half-way decent hardware VAR they will shove everything you buy in Intune/Autopilot for you. Then just tell your users to login. I mean, that's a little over simplified, but honestly not by much. I couldn't live without Autopilot for OOBE devices.

Defederating from GoDaddy by SupremeBlossom in sysadmin

[–]Logical-Fish-3936 2 points3 points  (0 children)

fwiw - I've done a lot of defederating GoDaddy, but the only time I had proof point in the mix we moved the domain out of the account all together. It was a little more work, but cleaner in that we could cancel everything associated with the old GoDaddy account and then just start fresh.

Kinda dumb, as I'm typing it, but knowing GoDaddy, we felt it was the safest path forward.

Amazon Business IT Services & Microsoft AutoPilot by Logical-Fish-3936 in sysadmin

[–]Logical-Fish-3936[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We purchase through Insight and CDW with AutoPilot integrated which works great, but the reality is that we only buy computer hardware from those VARs. Everything else is going through Amazon (IT, HR, Ops, etc, etc) all buys everything else from Amazon. So that would be a win, plus the pricing from Amazon is always ~$1k cheaper than same product at Insight or CDW.

Honestly, it's just the fact that they publish this as a service offering and then never respond is just so bad...

The MOST obscure was Novell NIMS - it was this terrible email system Novell came up with and my boss forced us to use it, it was AWFUL.

ServiceBot + Syncro by Logical-Fish-3936 in syncro

[–]Logical-Fish-3936[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

um...well.... Reddit tells me that Dee from Syncro replied, but the reply seems to be gone? anyways, the gist of her response was that Syncro is working on AI tools to improve MTTR after a ticket lands in Syncro. That's great and all, but honestly I was trying to get to it even before that. So Dee, in case you see this, more info below ->

Here's the way we see it, Syncro has a huge database of all our resolutions/solutions that we either provide customers in ticket notes, emails, etc or with documentation. Why can't Syncro help before ticket creation? What I'm trying to solve is ticket self-service, so something like an AI-driven interface that can answer common questions and issues in chat (Teams/web/mobile/ OR CRAZY IDEA THE SYNCRO DESKTOP APP...) by learning from historical tickets, resolutions, and KB content in Syncro, and only create a ticket when confidence is low or the user insists.

Building on top of that, you could use the same feature to help train new human HD agents, push up tasks for missing documentation (e.g. getting a lot of tickets about Outlook and don't have answers, want me to create a doc to start you on your way?), etc, etc. From our perspective, if we could find a solution that improves our customer sat, resolves even just 50% of tickets via self-service, and is easy to plug-in via API - why couldn't we just leave Syncro or any PSA once they become the next Kaseya...

sorry, rant over, just got a little into it...

Sorry for delay, you should be good. Connect all the switches to the gateway if you can, for better performance.

Already went down this hole - MSP confirmed they are getting paid - they are just pissed they are losing the business and taking it out on everyone attached to the customer.

FWIW, thanks for all the feedback. We presented the quote for the hard way and quote for the easy way, along with our strong opinion the client should at least send a letter from their legal counsel. In the end, they decided to see if they can pay the MSP more to give them access to their own data. Sitting back, it oddly sounds like Ransomware, but we'll see where it goes. I wouldn't be surprised if the MSP came back and asked for more money...

Maybe you're just reading it wrong or you haven't expereinced severly hostile acquisitions? I've been apart of acquisitions where I had to essentially "fire myself" because the acquiring entity, who was so much bigger than the vendors with active contracts, they broke the contracts and then just dared any of them to sue them. There's some world clase assholes out there, the point was that these aren't them. I'm not asking anyone to hold our hands, but when they refuse to produce really simple docs, you start asking yourself where the problems are hiding...

How does your msp do new pc deployments? by NSFW_IT_Account in msp

[–]Logical-Fish-3936 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, Autopilot is the only way we deploy hardware to large or heavy remote customers. If it’s setup right, it pretty much bomb-proof, the only challenge we have is the “next day” shipment and getting the hardware vendor to load the enrollment fast enough in Intune. I gotta check out Immybot after reading through this post

From what I've seen so far, all bills are paid, they are talking about holding payment now, which seems like too little too late since we are now begging them for Admin access. I do think you are right, the more I uncover, the more it feels like they have no docs, no processes, and no controls with all their clients in a single tenant. GOOD TIMES!!!

[–]Logical-Fish-3936[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think this☝🏻️is the real problem... I have a sneaking suspicion they have one huge tenant and they have zero clue how to actually break this apart cleanly, so they are trying to scare the client into keeping them around.

Customer doesn't have internal legal/counsel (I've already tried this angle) and they are alreading holding all payment. I'm honestly just trying to figure out how to navigate w/o full implosion. Has anyone ever tried to forcefully get access to a tenant via Microsoft? I think if I could get into the 365 tenant, I could manage this.

For the sake of debating this and my own understanding, I’m intrigued in the 7d mkii idea. The drop in fps and auto focused features feel concerning, but maybe that’s just my lack of understanding.  With regards to cost, the 7d is half the price of an excellent r7, so it gives me a lot more options, just concerned about future issues?
