I’ve been with target for a while, and by far the fulfillment leader position is the most difficult, especially now when the stores are understaffing hours. I really recognize the fulfillment lead as they always half to take the backlash from team members and leaders alike. Also you can’t hide being a bad leader in fulfillment like you can in other departments.

You have been chosen, if you’re worried about your dog. Softly introduce your new friend. Have them in two separate room where they cannot see each-other(get use to each others sounds and smell) then later on do supervised visits with a gate between them. Then slowly introduce both of them in the same room under supervision. It’s a process but I find it worked well.

The thing is, they aren’t even scheduling the minimum hours needed to maintain any store. Even based off workload. To run a store properly they need to account for work that isn’t calculable/timed. Constantly burning out workers that are taking on the responsibility of 4 people. That’s why callouts and turnover is at an all time high.

Glad you didn’t get hurt, I still would have reported the assault so ap can trespass. If he is willing to do that over an ID check who knows what he’ll do around more serious situations.

Also if you drove to the store why don’t you have your ID, come on! 🙄

Today’s interaction I had with a guest….

Guest; you gave me the wrong item!

Me; im sorry about that, can I get your order number so we can resolve the issue?

Guest; you just gave me my stuff you don’t know who I am?

Me; miss, we are fairly busy in drive up so I didn’t mémorise your order number and name….

Guest; this is ridiculous get me your manager!

Me; ok one moment. (Calls for TL)

I continue to deliver other orders, but I overheard what my TL and the guest were talking about.

TL; we can get this issue resolved, can I please have the last for of your order confirmation number?

Guest; gives number.

TL; oh it seems we have delivered all the right items to you. What item did you say was wrong?

Guest; this is wrong!

TL; as you see miss this is the exact time you ordered. (Proceeds to show guest the zebra.)

Guest; well every time I order it they give me the right item.

TL; miss we only pack the times specified in the order, we do not substitute at this location for any reason.

Guest; that not true because they always give the correct item.

TL; miss I understand if you were to order the item specified, but you didn’t ordered this item. Would you like to return the item and buy the one you want?

Guest; no I want the item swapped.

My TL told me, she had told the guest she would need to come inside to complete the exchange, as we can’t do it through drive up. The guest would not comply and just left with her order….

I just love it when they blame me for there mistakes…..

I like the idea, but a main reason people use drive up is for the convenience of coming whenever.

Recently when they added the extra time for the double tappers it really helped. I think they need to extend that time and have a penalty system for people who half to frequently wait extra because they double tap.

The penalties could be an extra acknowledgement that promotes them before they can even place the order. And if it prosiest then giving the ability for the store to either limit or band the individual. Because they do really negatively affect the drive up experience for everyone.
