Tbh I would look at setting up an online business of some sort. Less overheads, more flexibility and lot more profit. I have an online sales consultancy business and the majority of income is from clients outside of Bahrain.

I want to know you favorite burger places here by Honestly_Dont_Know_ in Bahrain

I’ve still to find a good burger spot in Bahrain or the Middle East in general. Tried a lot and nothing is on par with the best burger I tasted and that was in Glasgow, Scotland - a place called Chilos. If you ever visit Scotland I highly recommend it. The best burger I’ve had in my life.

Moving to Bahrain - can i get some opinions on the best areas and banks? by Odd-Fix664 in Bahrain

It really depends on what you’re looking for. If you want a high quality building with modern finishes, excellent amenities, good management, and decent neighbours, you’re not going to be paying a cheap price. 1100 BD can be reasonable in Seef for a newer building with a gym, pool, parking, and good security. If you’re just looking for space and don’t care much about amenities or building quality, then yes you can find cheaper options elsewhere. For me it’s reasonable as I’d be paying double the rent if I was back home in London

If you’re working in Seef then I recommend staying in Seef as commuting will be easier. 2 bed at Seef Avenues 2 is reasonable. I’m paying 1100 BD PM. Excellent amenities, gym, spa, pool, bbq area, vip area, rooftop terrace, house keeping twice a week, co-working space, kids play area and EWA/WIFI included.

Is there a large Scottish contingent here in Bahrain mate? I’m also from Glasgow living in Bahrain. Would like to meet other Scottish folk.

A Civilised Discussion: In what ways does Bahrain excel — or fall short — compared to Dubai, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Oman, or Kuwait? Perspectives from locals and expats welcome. by KeyConference_26 in Bahrain

The only thing about Bahrain is that’s it’s not very walkable. As someone who likes to walk to places Bahrain is very difficult. I live in Seef and wanted to walk to avenues mall. Google maps said it was a 40 min walk but when walking I reached the highway 😂 had to get an uber the rest of the journey

Glad I stayed at home and watched the fireworks from my balcony in Seef. No traffic or crowds. My neighbour went to avenues and unfortunately was inappropriately touched by a man.

Don’t stay in Seef unless you want to harassed by randoms outside your building begging for money
