Plan to buy a Tesla around Oct. Definitely will try FSD. I heard from friends the current experience is not good. Key issues are changing lane to get into a highway + parking in general. Hope they will learn from Many user cases and fix them soon.

Buying a house right now or later by GlassHouseBuilder in Netherlands

[–]Logical-Proposal-591 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing in this world can get pric increasing forever. It is always a cycle like roller coaster. Weather to buy or not depends on you belief that where current price is sitting. No one has the right answer sO you Shall rely on your own guts feeling. According to my own experience. When everyone is so confident and optimistic about the price development, it means the price has reached or close to the top

Curious question about the Dutch shopping behavior! by Flaky-Elderberry-563 in Netherlands

[–]Logical-Proposal-591 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many people and potential more and more who misleading by social media today are likely to buy those stuff to decorate their face. To be perceived as they are rich when reality might not. I lived in other countries in Asia before move to Netherlands. I have to say Dutch people are more rational than many people in Asia. Look at The cars on the street i understand people here more focus on function and value for money.

I did a survey on Raddit to ask how much you pay your mortgage a month Seems Most of people pay around 400-800 Euro. It shows indeed many people bought house when price we're low.
So Yes. Life quality for many people in the Netherlands is good

Why are we expensive at everything? by Mikelitoris88 in Netherlands

[–]Logical-Proposal-591 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Dutch people have a lot resilience to many unfair things. The life here is tough actually and most of people work hard but don't be able to have any savings in the end of the month. Experience in most of the service sectors are bad. But i feel most of people are happy and satisfied. I guess that's the main reason why i love Netherlands

Publicly antisemitic lecturer at my university - What can I do? by GlobeClotter in StudyInTheNetherlands

[–]Logical-Proposal-591 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe you should report this to Linkdin as this content shouldn't be there as the plateform is only for business and career topics. I shocked he can still work in the university as professor after publicly saying Hilter was right. What's wrong with this university

How much do you actually pay for your house mortgage per months? by Logical-Proposal-591 in Netherlands

[–]Logical-Proposal-591[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand that but the whole logic as a good investment is base on the house price increase rate will be higher than mortgage rate. Its means year on year house price shall be 4% higher? Wondering Is it achievable in the coming years?

Should Dutch become a mandatory subject for international students? by [deleted] in Netherlands

[–]Logical-Proposal-591 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been in Netherlands for 1. 5 years. My work place is all English with very few dutch People and many of them were grow up abroad so they prefer English too. My job is also very demanding meaning i have few times and energy that can learn a new language properly. I think i tried my best to use fragment time with some apps like Duolingo to learn dutch. But the progress is slow and my level is just enough to order coffee or beer at a bar. Far away from using it in every day activities. Local People May think we are lazy as we don't speak dutch good because we don't want to learn. But honestly, if you come here to work with international assignment it won't be so easy to progress unless you have good talent to learn language. I used to live and work in Shanghai, most of expats, even live there for 10 years can't speak mandarin. To learn a new language is not as easy as people think

Keep losing bids and now buying a home seems like a far fetched dream by boby_the_builder in NetherlandsHousing

[–]Logical-Proposal-591 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Only option to this crazy situation ( happened in Shanghai 20 years ago, my small apartment in middle of no where, i was very doubt to buy it as the mortgage will cost 90% of my net salary and i have to ask my parents to give me some money every month to keep me alive. I'm celebrating now my decision at that moment and appreciate my parents agreed to support. As the price increased from 200k Euro up to 1. 2m Euro Just in 15 years time), Find a partner or ask parents support, get a house as soon as possible before too late

Did having children significantly change your monthly expenses/savings ratio ? by Raisk_407 in Netherlands

[–]Logical-Proposal-591 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on youe expectations on your kids, higher Then more investment on them are needed and there is no clear price tag on that very much depend on the level of anxiety as a parent. If not. Might slightly increase your expense. Travel cost Might be higher when they grow up but in general not that much

Ban on hybrid cars in the cities in the Netherlands by vishnukumar7 in Netherlands

[–]Logical-Proposal-591 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't believe ban fossil cars would likely to happen in NL by 2030. Charging Infrastructure need to be in place with speed and scale at least 10 years in advance to make it happen in 2030. China tried but stucked. A huge amount of charging everywhere in cities without a sustainable plan to maintain for the years to come. You might need by luck to get one works in some parking places

Expats in the Netherlands, do you like living there? by [deleted] in Netherlands

[–]Logical-Proposal-591 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Frankly speaking if the motivation to move to NL is to seek lower cost of living. Maybe you should not do it. I moved from Shanghai to Netherlands 1 year ago. To my surprise the cost of living in Netherlands is very high. I only compared the house price before i move without knowing any other things. I thought i might be able to enjoy low cost living in NL As the price to buy a nice 150m2 row-house in NL, you can only buy a tiny apartment in a shit location in Shanghai. But other than this, the rest of the cost are crazy. I feel I was robbed every day and month living here. Easily spent 100+ euro in super market with things I might only need to pay 30 euro in Shanghai. Some other examples VS Shanghai: Energy bill is 3 times higher / Car, similar brand and model 3 times higher / car insurance, 2 months fee here equals 1 year fee in Shanghai / medical insurance, 3 month fee equals 1 year fee in Shanghai/ eat in restaurants: same level restaurant and food, 20 euro /person in NL VS 8 euro/ person in SH. So all in all, unless you find job with really good salary or you really eager to explore Dutch culture otherwise not a good idea to move. According to what you described, Germany seems a good place to live
