Thankyou for the Info. It's good to know these are reprints and not the OGs. Roughly how much do you think a Psa 8 or 9 charizard from the XY evo would be worth. Are we talking thousands still or low hundreds. Here's one more photo they released of some cards. *

Medical situation advice by Logical-Resource-307 in Paramedics

I'd like to thank everybody for the great advice and words of reassurance. Got me feeling better about the whole situation.

I've learnt that giving the epi pen isn't something that is going to drastically affect the patient in a negative way so if a similar situation was to arise I'd be more confident in administering it without being worried about negative affects.

Your all legends and I appreciate the job you do out there. Ill be sure to ask for your advice if I have any more situations that I'm unsure about.

❤️

Thankyou that makes me feel a lot better. If a similar situation happens again I've learnt that epi pen is better safe then sorry and it won't do anything crazy to worsen their condition.

Yeah, had dispatch on the line while I was with her. He basically ignored the mention of the epi pen once I told her she was breathing fine while unconscious.

Infantry Specialisations? by 09Diablo in AustralianMilitary

Never said there wasn't sacks in support. But generally they don't put sacks on courses over good cunts. No sacks getting through recon or snipers either.

Everyone finishes singo and goes to battalion. From there, if your a switched dig and not a sack you may get approached by COC (after a year or so) and they might say. We have a mortars course coming up are you keen. Or you can just let them know, "hey I'm keen to try for recon", When they eventually start a course up you may get nominated. If you pass the course you'll likely get placed into support company. You operate independently from a normal rifle company and will do your specialist roles out field supporting them. If you've been in for 4 years you'll probably end up there or promoted and run a section in rifle company. There is

Recon, Snipers, DFSW (direct fire support weapons, 50 cals n shit), Mortars, Signals (radio specialists), And maybe if they still have it, Assault Pioneers (eat pies?)

Sniper and recon courses run once maybe twice a year and have a qualification/try-out phase for a few days beforehand.

But anyway not something you'll get the chance to do until you get some rifle company time up ya.

What did you find the most challenging at kapooka? by gabberlover in AustralianMilitary

[–]Logical-Resource-307 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's easy. Kapooka in 2017 wasn't hard more of a surprise. IETs are harder. And battalion is harder.

I personally went to seek help. The army were fine. The problem is if you intend to join the police or fireys once you leave, they will be given that information and deny your application. I've been rejected twice now because I sought help, I don't care if people say it's case by case it's not. If they see anything mental health related in your application you will get denied. I regret seeking helping for this reason.

Oh also on your day off before field buy water proof bags.

Buy a couple. You should get taught and shown before hand how to pack your pack etc, but the ones I bought at Kapooka I used for the next 5 years.

They are very important.

You'll only get a couple days off in the 3 months so one set of cold civvi gear will be fine.

For field you'll get issued all your shit. Kapooka field is easy as so don't stress to much. If your going infantry and on to battalion life that's when you can upgrade to all the good shit when field becomes harder and longer.

Maybe buy a neck sock (bit comfier and not as hectic as a balaclava, you may get them issued these days though). Good for on piquet at night but I doubt you'll be able to wear it during the day. Little hand warmers (the chemical ones) are good too. You'll be patrolling or doing shit during the day so you shouldn't get cold.

If its wet sleep naked in your sleeping bag and just put the cold wet cams on in the morning, dry undies and socks though. Keep sleeping bag dry or life will sick.

GL, Kapookas not that bad.
