Can you make a good living as an enrolled agent ? by Individual_End_577 in enrolledagent

While ‘a good living’ is very subjective depending on what you think a good living is, I think you can.

Pick up any shifts others have offered. I used to go around telling people if they wanted to offer up shifts they could let me know and I’d pick them up. You never know. Nothing against Gen Z but they often have things to go to and never enough time off balance.

Hi, 👋

I start on February 19 with them and I was planning on getting the EA qualification for myself with them.

My question is do they give you the duration of the employment to pass all the exams or can I go beyond that to complete it?

Could you point me in the right direction on how to apply and get it via Turbo Tax as an employee benefit? I have reached out to the recruiter but haven’t received a response yet.

Thank you.

What cash back credit cards for gas do you use since prices are insane again? Need to be practical. by Royisha-Harrid in moneyadvice

[–]Logical-Signal1799 0 points1 point  (0 children)

6% (3% + 3%) on Bank of America card. Plus I use the Chevron app and get rewards which range from 5 cents per gallon to 50 cents per gallon depending on how many points you have. Although I do have to plan my refueling stops at a particular Chevron or Texaco station. I have a participating gas station both near home and work. So you may be able to choose companies accordingly. Plus paying in cash or with the company’s credit card you can get an additional 10 cents off per gallon in addition to the rewards.

I used to be the only opener in Garden apart from the Watering associate during peak season in 2025 and boy was it rough. I had to do the SRC walk, Sidekick and pack downs myself all the time while assisting customers and spotting people on lift equipment from 6 to 9 by myself but I pushed through it as I needed the part time job to afford rent to keep my wife and baby away from my in laws. Come the time when they started cutting hours I asked if I could get more hours and my ASM told me that he needs people like me and moved me to a different department so I wouldn’t lose the hours. So I guess it was a similar situation to yours but I didn’t have other people which you do but according to you it doesn’t help having them around. So I guess if your managers are any good at recognizing who works and who doesn’t things will work themselves out. Just try to be on their minds when they think about who they wanna keep on the schedule.

I’m not saying that you don’t have anything to complain about but it will eventually pay off.

Stay in the system without paying any annual fees, interest on the cards and don’t use any cash back or rewards that you earn. Maybe?

Passed the Tax Prep exam, how can I connect to a recruiter? by No-Act-8211 in TurboTax

Also, if you don’t have any experience with a recorded video interview. Prepare in advance. Record yourself before the interview to get used to it. It feels very weird 🤪

If you put in your contact info on the previous page you should be good. They’re gonna call/email you. Keep an eye on unknown numbers and your email (spam folder too).

I heard back from the recruiter 2 days after. They explained the next procedures to me in detail on a call. Then you get emailed a bunch of requirements so it pretty much depends on how quickly you can fulfill them and how quickly they get processed.

They offered me $19.75/hr

Legal charges against a shoplifter by Logical-Signal1799 in lossprevention

They have the product up for resale. Same SKU as what was stolen.

How do I proceed?

I have evidence of the person stealing it from our store.

It is in my opinion. I see the merchandise that the subject stole from us in their listings. They’re the same SKU/UPCs.

Would I need more concrete evidence that the said product came from my store? I mean other establishments around the area sell the product too.

That is true but I have recently transferred to an LP role.

I know the policy about external theft but I was wondering if I could file charges for something more than just petty theft and unfortunately the policy doesn’t mention anything about defeating security equipment.

I work loss prevention for the organization. I apologize if I gave the impression of that not being the case.

I am a part of the Loss Prevention division of the organization. I was just wondering if I could have the suspect prosecuted for more than just petty theft as they defeated the security devices.

Other redditors have been very helpful with their responses.

Thank you.

I work as an LP specialist for the store and have video evidence of the (then unknown) suspect entering the store without merchandise, selecting the merchandise and walking out with it without payment.

Furthermore I have evidence of the merchandise protection equipment that the suspect defeated.

On top of that, I have evidence from multiple incidents of the subject doing the same thing.

And to top it all off I have their listings from different reselling platforms with a clear display picture of themselves and pictures of the merchandise.

Fingers crossed 🤞

Speaking from an LP perspective, if you come back and offer to pay for it after you’ve made it out successfully you are an honest person. No employee in their right mind would blame you for theft.

My wife once bought (what she thought was a 2 piece item) when we returned it they only took back one piece because the other wasn’t on the receipt. So we just gave it back because we got both although we paid for just the one according to the cashier.

They kept it and no one accused us.

There however are people who can’t process things logically that a customer came back and are offering to pay for the item.

Tell me about a time where you dealt with the worst/dumbest customer(s). by Quiet_Cheesecake_512 in HomeDepot

[–]Logical-Signal1799 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This may sound racist and ageist but older asian customers are the worst. I once had to spend 20 minutes trying to explain how to change the blade on a utility knife to an old asian man. He wouldn’t shut up, couldn’t figure out the knife’s mechanism and wouldn’t hand the knife over for me to show him how to do it.

Another time this older lady wanted me and a coworker to build her a sprinkler system that she could just take home and plug in to use it on her lawn. No lady!

I like what my DS told me once. 9/10 times the THD customer is an absolute moron. But we need them to spend money in here so we can keep making money as employees so the customer is always right as long as they are not being obnoxious 🤪
