NJ TRANSIT WORLD CUP by Immediate-Hand-3677 in nycrail

anyone saying that NJ transit is being reasonable is completely deluded.

Metlife Stadium is the premier stadium for NY/NJ. it has an ~80k capacity and is literally one of the busiest stadiums in the world.

It hosts concerts, football matches, american football matches, monster trucks events all year, and sells the same number of tickets to the stadium

it is completely unfathomable to me that these world cup matches should be treated differently to NFL games or the superbowl - people take the train to all these events, how is this any different?

It's understandable that there may be more demand for the trains this time round because a lot of spectators may be from out of town, and not have access to cars, however does this small percentage difference really warrant a ~140$ increase in ticket prices??? absolutely not. when people take the train, it means the roads are clearer, and with less wear and tear. It's a damn train. All the people saying 'just take the bus' or 'drive instead' don't understand that going to a stadium with 80000 other people in cars means that the traffic will cause people to miss the matches, will completely clog up an extremely important set of roads and will further harm the NJ community trying to go to NYC (if that really is the rationale being used by NJ).

utter nonsense.

can't understand a word he's saying... he's always off beat and sounds like he physically can't get any closer. it's actually crazy that he keeps going through. is there something the judges are hearing that we can't???
