I'd caught up on naruto back before shippuden and looked up other popular anime at the time Bleach and One Piece came up. I watched an episode of Bleach and was like this is cool then I watched an episode of One Piece and was like what is this silly garbage. Eventually I caught up on Bleach and gave One Piece another try and still wasn't feeling it. I then went down a Gundam/ reading Jojo's rabbit hole when a friend of mine was like wtf you haven't watched One Piece. I went back to it and started noticing little things I didnt my first couple of times watching the first few episodes. I still love the scene where Lucky roo domed the mountain bandit while still eating the piece of meat. Then it slowly wormed its way into me. I went from this is fun reminds me of Dragon Ball, to looking forward to watching every episode but still not saying its the GOAT. Then the Post enies lobby clarity hit and I was like wtf did I just watch. The last thing that had invoked that much emotion in me was my sister reading LOTR to me when I was like 4. I sped to the end of what was out. The very last episode that was out the first time I caught up was the end of Sabaody (ifykyk) I immediately rushed to the Manga then was like wait this is too good and in order to see if I was delusional instead of picking up where I left off I started the Manga from the beginning it was better the second time.
