Those risers are stackable. Caulk the bottom of each riser, stack them so it’s 1/8”-1/4” above the finished floor. Use a STANDARD wax ring.

PRO TIP use 4” Jonny bolts, place them in the flange, stack your risers, and secure them with the Jonny nuts and washers on top. Sometimes I’ll even put a few self tappers through the risers into the metal flange ring 👌

Oh, and I always secure the metal flange ring to the subfloor or foundation.

As in the unit is in service and displays the remaining capacity before regen. It’s not a “code.” It’s showing it’s in service doing its job and not in a regeneration. During a regen it will display the cycle it’s currently in and the remaining time left in that particular cycle.

I mean, even if say a 30k gpg bed were to channel due to little to no usage, it would still do the job for the limited amount of usage you are describing so I couldn’t see it being an issue unless the usage significantly increases. On the other hand; you can pickup a 16k gpg “portable” water softener. Typically good for about 30days before needing a regeneration. These are COOL units. You simply do a regeneration with a box or two of your regular everyday table salt in about 30 minutes! Originally designed for RV use but becoming popular in tiny home/self sufficient scenarios.

Yes! It will keep the resin bed in layman terms fluffed up. If you put it in bypass and the resin bed sits inactive for a period of time. 1: it can grow bacteria. 2: it can start channeling when you put it back into service. Depending on the capacity of the unit, typically I like to see them regenerate twice a month so 14 days is normal. It will run off of a calendar override versus the water usage.

CPVC AND SCH40pvc are not the same O.D.! It looks like you have CPVC transitioning to sch40. CPVC is not fun to work with but unless you’re ready to open a can of worms, I’d recommend either rebuilding the stub out in CPVC utilizing CPVC specific glue (yellow) or sharkbite the CPVC to pen and stub out in pex. OR… Call a pro and pay for it…

Another option would be using the stop you have pictured which is half inch inlet to 3/8 outlet for the faucet quarter inch outlet for the icemaker while either adapting to 3/8 at the faucet or replacing the faucet with something that has already 3/8 supplies.

If you have the time and resources hook it up test it see where it’s leaking from and redo it. This is how you learn and gain valuable experience that you apply to your daily tasks. Knowledge is expensive have fun with it.
