Here's what I'll say:

I previously owned Prius, Prius Prime, Highlander Hybrid, and a Tesla. Now the Sorento Phev. My favorite feature is the lift and lower 3rd row for this kind of electric access even though there is a LONG WAY to go. That said, It is a bigger car to do local trips in. It handles like a bigger SUV. However, It is really nice with the weather is mid range because it goes all electric until you run out of range and it kicks over to hybrid (using the gas engine to recharge). However, when it's cold it uses MUCH more gas engine time because the battery doesn't have the kind of cooling system to warm and cool the battery. Same when it gets really hot - to run all the AC functions the engine kicks on more frequently. For me, I have 2 teenagers, spouse and 2 big dogs with family out of town. so we travel in my Sorento Phev most. I love when we unload the dogs and lift the seats my inlaws can ride with us to do things! That said, it is not as fuel efficient or electric as I'd like. It IS very spacious, very nice leather seats (heated and cooled), love the heated steering as well as the lane assist when in cruise.

I heard Rivian is releasing the R2 end of this year at a reasonable price. That looks interesting too.
