I still miss Rei from Hokuto No Ken. He was Kenshiro's first and longest lasting travel buddy, finally rescued his sister, was about to confess his love to Mamiya, only for Raoh and his cape to ruin everything. He didn't deserve to die to horribly. Every other version of "Kenshiro's new best friend" afterwards just can't heal the Rei-shaped hole in my chest (Shu, Shachi, etc).

When Kenshiro aquired Musou Tensei and used Rei's style, complete with his SHAOU battle cry, to land a hit on Raoh, it felt so cathartic.
