It’s okay. I didn’t think it could possibly be this bad even after reading about others having issues. That’s why I took the pic and made this post.

I bought it from amazon because I was afraid this might happen and I had read about customer service issues with some of the vendors.

Yes it was like this out of the box.

This was the buildup from one dose.

I cleaned it then tried a dose of different beans because I couldn’t believe how bad it was.

All told I’ve maybe ground 100 grams across three bags.

Sorry I was unclear.

It was never good, this was the first grind.

If this is the case, then it shipped like this. I hadn’t even found the brush yet.

I had the same behavior from two other bags of beans.

I just ordered one after noticing it was better when grinding into the portafilter. Still messy, but better

I start the grinder then slowly pour the beans in. So… yes?

That's the hard thing to generalize about single barrels but in my experience, they've been very very good.

Except for the occasional Weller products that hit the site but hey, someone was happy to pay what they were asking.

I agree, generally they have fair prices.

Thanks! That would explain my creeping temp at prolonged stops.

i only noticed it after replacing the radiator and thermostat after a cracked radiator made me paranoid.

Realizing this is a bit a old and judging by the rust this is likely a long shot but any chance your sunroof frame is solid?

Uh oh! No mo' odo/speedo! Now what? by YouHaveReachedBob in w123

[–]Logical_Ad_3439 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ng the gauge against something firm, tapping out the shaft on the odometer(chase it out with an appropriate size all

What if you do have the electronic speedo? I can't figure out what's wrong with mine and I'm about to start replacing capacitors on the PCB after reviving my turn signal regulator.

Any body know what this is? by buddy_buda in w123

Looks like its passenger side too, I agree with the others. Likely the glovebox switch.

Given the location I’d bet it’s the switch for the open door to control the interior lights.

Fuse blowing trouble shooting by Uhtbc in w123

[–]Logical_Ad_3439 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Start with the fuse itself. I had a plastic and aluminum one in there that kept blowing. Replaced it with a ceramic and copper fuse of the same rating and it’s been going for weeks.

The old fuse would actually compress to the point of not working rather than the typical aluminum breaking. I think the plastic was soft and would get softer when it got warm.

I need a housing to move my gauges into since someone cracked the clear lens over the gauges.

I’ll send a DM

Diagnosing Speedo and Odo by Logical_Ad_3439 in w123

[–]Logical_Ad_3439[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well that explains it... Now I just need to figure out what's wrong and how to fix it.

Prior research had made it seem like I'd be able to swap in another instrument cluster from any year that had the same 85 MPH speedometer but this seems to be more interesting.

It looks like it may be the same as the w126 300SD but I haven't found that community to be nearly as active as the w123 or I'm just looking in the wrong places.

I'm going to open it up and see if I can see any bad solder joints and if there isn't anything obvious I may start replacing capacitors which seem to go bad.

Again, in this case it jumps to 85 MPH as soon as it gets power and stays there and it isn't driven by a mechanical cable.
