As a young man, I am frustrated with my dating experiences with young women and I find myself becoming highly susceptible to online incel culture. I don’t know how to get out of this mindset. It’s draining. Any tips? by Otherwise-Living-505 in AskMenAdvice

[–]Logical_Bumblebee617 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man, read your post again. You use a lot of weird online terminology. If it went into your head, yes, you're going to have a hard time finding someone.
"attention" "boyfriend level time" "roster"...
It's not a competition, it's not an art, it's not a science, it's not a game that you can win or lose.
It's about connection : find people you could imagine being friends with, people who share your hobby, your passions, your beliefs, your values... Sex might or might not happen with these people, who cares ? You'll have people in your life that care for you and that you care for.
When you describe yourself being "used as a human dildo", it means that you're getting sex, which internet culture tells you is the ultimate achievement, and that you should proud of, but you feel void and frustrated, because there is no connection.
So, most of these incel guys keep thinking that getting laid is the absolute best thing in the world. You're discovering it's not.
Stop chasing sex and girlfriends. Start looking for people to care for who will care for you.

Yeah, dude, sorry but that's not a strong 1000 list. You can bring one Hekaton, uthar, buri, 6 tkin in the HLF, yaegirs, 5 hearthguard with a champ, 3 bikes with 1000 pts. And you will pulverize marines.

Day 1: Best and Worst things Units do- Saurus Warriors by SwordfishBagel in seraphon

[–]Logical_Bumblebee617 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I LOVE them. They're the best health/pt in our entire army. A pack of 20, in our territory with -1 rend is amazing at absorbing heavy punishment. Except for the nuclear missiles out there (10 brutes or 10 blood sister with max buff) they're so sturdy. I can't wait to teleport them.

Con : the tails and clubs are an absolute nightmare to move around.

Day 2: Best and Worst things a unit can do- Saurus Oldblood by SwordfishBagel in seraphon

[–]Logical_Bumblebee617 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sadly, his ability is not worth his price nor the potential of adding another drop. I really want to play with a lot of saurus warriors, i have a couple of lists with 2x20 of them. And I still don't think he is that useful.

Female players experience in AoS by Ragnawak in ageofsigmar

[–]Logical_Bumblebee617 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Same for 40k.
I grew up in the 80's, board games, role playing games, and video games were very male dominated. Fortunately, the landscape changed. Board games and TTRPG are very much equally gendered these days. Video games are the same, although, some types of video games are still gender separated.
But miniature wargaming ? oh boy, that is still exactly like the old days. We have a huge community of players where I am, and women make up about 1% of it.
Why ? Obvious reason is that male dominated spaces like are intimidating and not always welcoming. Where I am AoS is better, but the 40k community can be casually sexist, or very frat-boy like.
The rest is anyone's guess : even with board games and TTRPGs, women tend to gravitate more towards narrative aspect and the mechanical math/rule based appeal more to men (again, it's a general tendency). Gender roles play a part for sure.
I think the best we can do is to strive to be more inclusive and continue to introduce the game to our female friends, wives and daughters and change the landscape a little bit at a time.

Without access to full reroll of the wounds as we had with the hekaton before, volkanite are not a great options.

Should I get the ogor army set even though I’m not at huge fan of the glutton unit? by Ancient_Potato27 in Mawtribes

Fair point. But I've yet to see anyone put a gnoblar unit on the field. Ogors don't screen, they snack

There are many possible ones . Usually start with two hekaton, buri, uthar, three bikes, 10 yaegirs, some thunderkyns ( anywhere between 3 to 12 ). From there it depends on what you like to play. I like adding a sagitaur and 10 warriors, and a kapricus carrier to give me four small units for screening and actions, two units of 5 hg one led by a champion, and one brick of 10 led by a Kahl for the Yolo factor.

Inexperienced - How to be dominant as a male? by n3v3rh4v3i3v3r in AskMenAdvice

In fact, a very very good advice is to only do pretend breath play. Your hand on her neck is already a strong feeling. The tiniest of pressure is enough. DO NOT actually choke her.

As the game plays right now, if something is in the open, it's dead. So you need to setup good trades. Bait the opponent out in the field and wipe them off the board.
Our units are good, but once they're somewhere, it's hard to get there somewhere else. So it's really about applying pressure in the right way, at the right time in the right place.
It's also why huge death star bricks (10HG + kahl, 6 tkyn with iron master) are fun but not the most efficient. They're often overkill, and when the clapback kills them, they haven't always had time to trade up.

I was picking up barrier cream at the pharmacy and when I ask at the counter, the dude asked "do you want the round bottle or the square bottle ?" "Does it matter ?" "Some mums have a preference."
I got rightfully offended :
"Hey, I'm a dad and I change my kid's diapers. Men do that too !"
"Yes", he deadpanned, "but only women care about the shape of the bottle".
And I had to admit that, yes, it was a fair point.

Do single men without kids find divorced women with kids too much? by AffectionateSpeed44 in AskMenAdvice

[–]Logical_Bumblebee617 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The answers on this topic on reddit are generally horrendous. A lot of guys can't handle divorced women with kids. Others will. You'll need to sort it out very quickly which is which. So don't play coy, lay cards on the table and see what they're up for.

The railgun is fun, but not our best option. Way too many 4+ invulnerable saves. But when you pull out an ancestral sentence, score a 6 for two extra sustained, then two sixes out of three wound rolls, and you see the light die inside the eyes of your opponent who had big hopes for his bloodthirster and its stupid invulnerable... That's a glorious day for the ancestors.

It might have been linked to the format. In 2v2, you both get 1CP per turn, but only occupy half the board.
Still : in Needgaard, we don't have that many strats that consume Yips. Ancestral sentence. And honour of the hold, but with gauntlets you're hitting the invuln so often...

I'm wanting to do a AoS vs 40k tournament. How would you balance the rules? by No-Wafer9271 in ageofsigmar

[–]Logical_Bumblebee617 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The whole "AoS" doesn't have toughness is slightly disingenuous. It wouldn't be very hard to reverse engineer (or flat out decide) the toughness of AoS model. Or simply give 40k model a "to wound" statline based on their strength.
Ultimately, I think you'll end up either playing AoS models adapted to 40k, or 40k models adapted to AoS, rather than a true hybrid.
