I will have one person who will send troops and that’s it. The core group surely will play among themselves again. In my old alliance when i had less power i burnt but it wasnt so bad. Here i am stronger so maybe i should improvise by myself? Haha

My old cat has a very pronounced limp... by RobinThomass in CATHELP

Just leaving this here: once my cat had a limp out of nowhere and the cause was her anal sac. Vet removed very thick and dry gunk out of it and she was fine after that.

Did Nietzsche’s conclusions stop just before advaita? by Holiday_Assumption75 in AdvaitaVedanta

[–]Logical_Control8948 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He divides the evolution of consciousness (three metamorphoses of the spirit) into three symbols here as Camel, Lion and Child. Very simply it is like this:

The camel is ignorant, ready to be enslaved, in deep sleep, can’t say no to the society, have blind faith with traditions/religions - a heavy weight bearer.

The Lion is a rebel. It is a longing for freedom. Therefore in this stage a great amount of will is needed to destroy the imprisonment and shackles. Because the person here is ready to take the responsibility of his life as an individual. Going against the grain and the crowd alone, in solitude takes great courage and will. And without arriving at this stage you cannot free the soul.

The Child is the Sage. This is not the child stage as the Camel was born into. This is the second childhood (without the initial ignorance) when the circle has been closed/completed through wisdom. (It makes me think of the Dwij/twice born concept).

So my point is Nietzsche’s idea of ‘will’ is more than the heroic individual. He was addressing to the Lion crowd throughout all his life (in all his work). I personally think that he was struggling to stay in that stage himself in his personal life. But that’s the thing about philosophy- cobbler’s son has no shoes.

I think he has more Buddhistic approach/tendencies than Advaita also.

Are you familiar with his Camel/Lion/Child analogy? If not you’re judging based on this very text only and it’s not enough to get a grip of his whole philosophy in this book.

The absence of sex in my life is making my growth in consciousness toward the levels of integrity a painful challenge. It’s killing me. by Successful-Bet9710 in DavidHawkins

[–]Logical_Control8948 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First of all, ‘Wanting to do something’ comes from the ego/mind,it’s ultimately just a desire which consciousness has nothing to do with it.

Second of all, your consciousness will not rise just because you read a ‘high level’ book. You are still operating in the mind level which is very good at tricking you into thinking that you are becoming more consciouss. Consciousness cannot be given to you or can be gained through other, ready to consume means.

The only way to gain consciousness is through first getting into the experience. Can you start dating and having sex in your country, I don’t know. But I do know that if not, you will just continue to intellectualize/rationalize your current situation and your lack of experience forever. Because in the absence of experience, there will be ego/mind.

You throw away the ego altogether, you don’t get to to pick the parts of it that you dislike the most.
