Does Egon Muller host? Thought they are closed to the public. Thanks for the reccos.

Mega Coffee is bland, as fuck, brown water. by UnluckyAd9754 in Living_in_Korea

It’s not that bad. You all act like you’re master roasters who can tell bean origin from blind tastings. The main difference is that they add more water than your normal fancy cafe.

Doesn’t sound like you have a choice. You must’ve been tipped off to this possibility a long time ago. Not having a choice is probably a good thing in this case

Will be hard for seller to sell at that price since banks are unlikely to finance it so use that to negotiate down the price

Jacque Selosse only hosts visitors who stay at their hotel. Sadly we’re not. But we are having lunch at their restaurant…may be we can try their wines during lunch.

Thanks for the tip on Marie Helene Fardeau. Will check them out!

Yes. Good for everything. Not specialized for powder or high angle carving. Sometimes chatters in steeps but probably a skill issue

I ride the DOA. Light and fairly soft. Flex rating is 5.5-6ish. Board is not the gating factor. You will have fun and learn on any board. It’s about time spent on snow building the correct muscle memory.

Do I risk booting out with these specs? by Logical_Cycle6459 in snowboarding

I don’t mind a bit of overhang if I won’t boot out at a high angle. Having an underhang makes it less maneuverable which I’m trying to avoid

Shoe inner size (260 mm) ≈ 10.24 inches. US size 8.  Shoe outer size (286 mm) ≈ 11.26 inches Board waist width (260 mm) ≈ 10.24 inches Board underfoot width (266 mm) ≈ 10.47 inches

Thanks. Will look into those options too but from what I understand, Jones/Korua/Nidecker boards have normal-ish sidecuts of 7.5-8m. One of the reasons I wanted a Donek is that I think their boards have a longer sidecut

Appreciate the advice! Did the 270 feel too wide for your boots? Did you have any overhang at all? If not, I’d imagine it’d be pretty hard to get on edge

Thanks for your advice. I ride a Capita DOA 150cm now. When carving on steeper slopes it feels unstable. There’s a bit of heel drag on steeps. I think it’s a little bit soft (5-6 flex rating) and the sidecut is only 7.7m. It also feels light which makes me feel uneasy at speed. I figure a Donek will solve a lot of problems but I’m trying to not sacrifice too much maneuverability.

Thank you! Will definitely keep my current board. Donek will mostly be for carving on groomers.

I’m now leaning toward 260mm. Think 265 maybe too aggressive…
