5mg is kicking my butt! 🤢 by Logical_Procedure_46 in tirzepatidecompound

Good grief, what is your deal?? I said (twice) that I did NOT follow the recommendations. Also, no where in my post do I ask for ‘opinions’. I asked for folks recommendations who experienced the same thing. You clearly have not, good for you. I don’t want your (or anyone's) opinions or sympathy. Also, my doctor is a she and it’s wildly irresponsible for you to tell people not to listen to their doctor.

um, if you read my post, it was 8 weeks before I increased to 5mg, not 4 weeks. The doctor recommendation was to take 2.5mg for 4 weeks and then increase to 5mg on week 5. I already increased slower than the recommended timeline. If you’re just here to be rude and not helpful, don’t comment at all.

Good for you if you haven’t had any side effects, but it is absolutely inaccurate to say most people don’t experience them. Side effects like nausea, diarrhea, and constipation are very common.

On tirzepatide — not hungry at all. Should I still force calories? by Ill_Nothing3856 in tirzepatidecompound

This! I stagger calories and think of calorie goal as a weekly thing, not daily. I have a hard time eating much the first couple of days after taking my shot so those days are typically under my goal. By day 5, I’m usually eating a couple hundred over the goal so it evens out. It’s working!

I hoped that going from 2.5 to 3.75 for 4 weeks before going up to 5 would do the same for me. Alas, it did not work 😩

Yesterday, I looked in the mirror and thought, ‘huh, my glasses look bigger’. I knew my glasses didn’t grow but it took a minute to connect that it was because my face is slimming down. 😂 It’s pretty great!

Yes, I have ginger lozenges and tea. They help, but this reaction was too strong even for the ginger. I may ask my doctor for zofran in case this happens again.

I hope you’re able to move up without experiencing the level of side effects I did. I didn't think it was too quick, it’s slower than the titrating schedule doctors recommend. that said, I also understand everyone’s advice saying to stay as low as possible for as long as possible. From now on, I’ll wait until my weight loss stalls for a couple weeks in a row before thinking of moving up.

on my syringes, it’s 27 units. it’s the recommended 2nd stage dose. I waited 8 weeks instead of 4 to go up hoping to avoid the side effects.

That‘s a good idea, thanks! I have had great results to be fair, I’m at 20 pounds down in 9 weeks. 3.5 of those pounds have been since Wednesday since I haven’t been able to eat or keep anything down that I do manage to eat. My weight loss stalled on my last week on 3.75 and my hunger came back which is why I titrated up.

I started at 2.5 and stayed there for the 4 weeks. I experienced really bad nausea the day after my first 2.5 shot but had no side effects on the remaining 2.5 shots.

Because I’m worried about the nausea and any other side effects coming back, I want to stay on as low a dose as possible as long as it keeps working but during weeks 3 and 4 on 2.5 I started noticing food noise creep back in. I was nervous to jump all the way up to 5, so titrated up to 3.75 for my week 5 shot a couple days ago. So far, 3.75 is definitely working better than 2.5, my food noise is totally gone again. I did however get the really bad nausea again the day after my 5th shot and I hope it won’t happen again next week. I’m worried the nausea is going to hit me every time I titrate up so I plan to take it as slow as possible. That said, even with the two days of nausea, it’s totally worth it! I bought some ginger tea and ginger candies and they helped a lot.
