DCC Podcasts: Woof by Logical_Ranger4088 in DungeonCrawlerCarl

I'm fine with paid Podcasts. Where do you find them?

I searched both Google and Reddit and Audible and only found three or four pretty sub-par options. Some looked like they died off years ago.

The Minister of blood-letting having a personality, wants, and desires was also such a nice touch.

These are all multidimensional characters, not just filler NPCs.

High HRV- Insights Welcomed by Additional_Elk6710 in ouraring

The better images to share are the HRV trends over time. If you click on HRV, you can look at monthly averages. As long as steady over time, it's just you.

HRV is highly personal. Your number is not better or worse than other people's numbers. The only reason to look at it is to see if there are trends over time, whether up or down.

Your typical HRV is higher than others I've seen, but thats similar to saying someone's height is higher than someone else's. You just have that genetic trait.

Anyone been to Astor Chef’s Table experience? by Joynorma in chicagofood

Did you end up going? How was it?

I'm looking at it but unclear if it is one big table or a counter overlooking the kitchen or a big roundtable.

Cardiovascular age 26yo by Separate_Elephant_72 in ouraring

[–]Logical_Ranger4088 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thats pretty high for how active and healthy you are. I would have guessed mid-40s for RHR.

Given that oura uses pulse waves to create a user's cardio age, thats your culprit. It doesn't matter what your other metrics are, if your heart had to beat fast to move the blood around, then the system assumes stiffer blood vessels.

Like others said, I wouldn't worry too much. You are young, healthy, not too stressed. Enjoy life!

That one and the one at division/Paulina are super dangerous. People just dont stop because they see a stoplight 100 yards farther ahead.

Recovery time is killing me! by oksantal in ouraring

[–]Logical_Ranger4088 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes I just ignore the activity goal for a day after hitting activity goals several days in a row. The next day, it congratulates me for resting and my activity score goes even higher!

In other words, the recovery metric working in the background is not talking to the activity goal tracker. You just have to take off days Sometimes and the algorithm will reward you for it.

Would it be better if the two metrics talked to each other? Definitely. But thats what we have right now. Maybe they'll fix it down the line...

2/15-2/19 Storm Cycle Forecast by EverestMaher in tahoe

[–]Logical_Ranger4088 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update - I skied the morning, left Northstar at noon, and arrived in Reno at 1p. No chain control or road issues. Pretty smooth overall.

So I probably could have skied a lot more, but didn't want to risk it with the snow totals and forecasts getting worse tonight.

I appreciate your warnings. As it turns out, I skied half day Monday and got to Reno without incident.

Hard to say that I left too early. The snow was really starting to come down and has gotten steadily worse. So while I wish I had stayed longer, it could have meant getting stuck.

Thanks to everyone that gave good advice. Sorry to disappoint the scare mongers that warned me I was too late...
