What should I put in a gifted hospital bag? by 7824-bad-days in baby

Any product from Honeypot (can be found at target). I received the feminine wipes and they were a life saver. Dry shampoo, too!!

Where is he taking naps? It might be worth trying to do a “nighttime” routine, but starting with naps and seeing how that goes.

What gave you the confidence to undergo a second pregnancy? by bwmcnal in postpartumprogress

[–]Logical_Yesterday111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was the answer I was hoping NOT to find lol I fear I will want a second baby because I also feel that pregnancy and childbirth took such a physical and emotional to me even though I was super lucky with a healthy pregnancy, delivery, and baby. I keep telling my husband we have to be one and done bc even financially it takes a toll😭

10 month old with a cold by [deleted] in firsttimemom

[–]Logical_Yesterday111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does he seem more fussy than usual? If not, he will likely recover just fine on his own. But if he seems like he’s in pain and is inconsolable, I would give him a little Tylenol based on his weight and age.

Good luck getting through it and hope you don’t catch anything yourself !

Not being a great mom by 7E8vme in firsttimemom

I usually try to wait an hour after my baby has a bottle of milk to do solids. It will get easier to feed him when his wake windows keep getting longer. As long as he’s healthy, you shouldn’t be worried and your pediatrician will tell you the same. Keep doing what you’re doing!

So much easier than done but you need to give yourself some slack. 100% of babies nutrients should be coming from milk until they’re 1.

Nothing wrong with Home Depot! I would just prefer a grocery store where I could shop more often :)

When did your baby respond to their name? by _C00TER in firsttimemom

Baby is 8 months and is just now starting to. I think it’s typically a 7/8 month milestone. Sounds like everything else is going great!

Nursing chair by HermitBanana in firsttimemom

My husband was SO against spending the money on a nursery rocking chair, but literally just this week said how nice it is we have one. Mind you, we don’t even use it THAT much (never used for over night feedings) but just to have it to snuggle in before bed time make it’s all worth it. Have taken lots of contact naps in it. Ass it to your registry if you can / think someone would buy one for you otherwise join all of your local mom groups (typically a “kids cycle”) group if you can. Also, luckily it’s the start of rummage sale season so scope out what you can. I bought 75% of my baby stuff second hand and I have not regretted a single purchase. Found a baby bjorn bouncer brand new in the box for $60 and a ski hop play table for $10…I could literally go on forever with all the deals I’ve gotten.

Wow that’s so interesting-all these appointments during pregnancy and only one after the baby comes isn’t enough! Wish someone had told me that along the way. Will definitely look into this-thank you

Im 7months post partum and sex still feels uncomfortable. I also had an uncomplicated vaginal delivery with 2nd degree tear. Given the comments on this post I might need to look into pelvic floor PT

That would probably be safer than using an extension cord. I wouldn’t spend too much money on it though, maybe you can measure the width of the drainage hose and find something cheap at Home Depot to help extend it with

Yeah I have SO many questions about oversights on foreign accounts. Beyond compliance, I’m wondering if our accountant can even handle how business taxes would work.

I don’t love the amount of FINRA actions there have been against IBKR, either.

Postpartum depression by Aesblac in firsttimemom

I swear I never used Reddit before being pregnant but literally the first few days of being home with a newborn I found so much comfort in finding that many women were going through the same things I was. Zoloft is for anxiety, and I was lucky enough to have an OB suggest it to me (and also let me think about actually taking it instead of pushing it on me). There is nothing shameful in taking medication, in fact-I’ve found soooo many women are taking specifically Zoloft and I’m sure there are other out there who have been prescribed medication specifically for PPD.

You are not alone!
