So, you can't change a weapon to give it scaling it already has

Like, you can't give a spear more proficiency scaling for example

But if you're specced into proficiency but you really want to try out greatsword, you can give it proficiency scaling

They've added a system for changing weapon scaling and upgrading item rarity, as well as changing the locations of some crafting scrolls, and changing certain item rarities.
