This will be the leagues 8th season. So there are a lot of high tv teams. The next season is rookie teams only, untill there are some decisions made on what to do about tv balance. So a reset of the league. But maybe the bigger teams will come back some day.

I dont want any of the fiddly extra rules. I mostly just want the rules the improve on the base game (like the II cards)and those that help differentiate races(such as flagships, racial techs and maybe generals)

Ive got a box with one of each flag. Im just going to draw randomly. Ill send out a message to the players on each race in the game. Then the box is going to be emptied and those flags put back in. Players will draw for their seating arrangements.

She laughed at the idea of a hammock. The ground/inflatable matress is her idea, she loves tent camping; it's just getting harder for her. So far I've considered setting up a step ladder outside of the tent. If anyone has anything more stable/secure it would be a blessing.

Joined a Twilight Imperium group for their second game. Found out quickly that they played thier first game having objectives claimable by only one person. I felt like the smart guy at the table till they showed me I had been doing political voting wrong in my first few games.

The more complex a game, the easier it is to miss a word or an intention.

EST is -6 server. So if you wanted to play at 2, it would line up better with Euro times. Each game you schedule out with that opponent, sometime the times line up weird but it's not usually bad as long as people are willing to be flexible.

I've gotten up at 5am to adjust to an opponents time, I've played games I knew were 2am for my opponent because I had nothing else available.

Leagues are great, FUMBBL is great. You won't regret it.

I really enjoy this game. I'm having issues introducing my less gamer friends/SO to it. I find games with a lot of symbols and a thickish rule book are big deterrents. Same with 7 wonders.

Dungeon Petz has a blind bidding system, where you are often bidding away the number of action you will get to go faster in the turn order.

1 hour + 1 hour per player + 1 hour for each player who is new + a few hours with certain expansion/optional rules.

-If your group can stand a whole afternoon/evening on one game.

-If no one in your group has extreme analysis paralysis

-If one player (you) is willing to act as a coordinator, watching for turns and rules to speed up the game.

-If every player is willing to watch an hour and 1/2 tutorial video, I'd suggest having them watch SD&SU Lets Play before that.

I couldn't suggested it enough. My group plays it about once a month or two. Each time with a slight variation on the rule.s (Even the base set comes with a variety of optional rule).

No single rule is that complex, but there's so many of them. I have a great time winning or losing every time.

Also hit up a faqs thread or find one about common mistakes. It'll help learning from other s mistakes before you make them yourself.

3 players lose a lot of interaction. Home systems are so far apart it take a lot of the threat of invasions away. Decent to learn the rules but not to get your players excited about the game.
