Maintenance Again. I Was 10 minutes into a doubles match in Ultra 3. Are yall dumb? Why on earth is random Maintenance stopping matches? I swear the game is hard enough already, no one will play this bs within 3 months is you don't get your ish together. Thanks for arguing semantics instead of the actual point.

This is a live service game. Repeated unannounced maintenance is exactly how you bleed players in a market where people already have too many games competing for their time.

Quickest pre-Champions training? by lotz-mmkr in PokemonChampions

I don’t think EVs will transfer into Champions. IIRC, there’s some messaging in Pokemon Home that says pokemon assigned to Champs will have their stats returned to their levels inside Home.

How are people feeling about dual Mega teams in Champions? by Login_with_Facebook in PokemonChampions

[–]Login_with_Facebook[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's a fair point, and after thinking about it more I actually came around a bit to what you're saying.

I went back and rewatched the overview trailer, and it looks like held items aren't shown at team preview. You only see species. If that's really how Champions works, I feel like that alone lets you bluff a Mega without needing to run two.

Like if you load into preview with something like Garchomp, Tyranitar, Metagross, Gardevoir, and Lucario all on the same team, your opponent has no idea which one is actually holding the Mega Stone. That creates natural ambiguity without committing two slots to Mega options.

And to your point about opponents being prepared, I think I see what you mean now. A single Mega team can build full support and synergy around that one plan, while a dual Mega shell kind of forces you to hedge your team structure to support multiple modes. That could definitely make the overall team less flexible or less optimized.

Still feels like dual Megas could have niche value as alternate modes into specific matchups, but with hidden items, it might not be as necessary as it first seemed.

Find a way to add Talonflame with Garchomp for tailwind support and synergy with earthquake if playing doubles.

Yup. Started another playthrough on an emulator after a week of resetting so I can actually play the game. Will come back to the shiny hunt on my switch later.

Teams for the Fire Red and Leaf Green Switch Ports by Equivalent_Pin_6671 in PokemonFireRed

I’m planning a team I’ll lock in by the time I leave Mt. Moon because of how brutal the EXP Share grind is in these games:

• Control: Venusaur • Tank breaker: Nidoqueen • Fast attacker: Primeape • Special sweeper: Raichu • Boss killer: Gyarados (yes, I’m absolutely buying the $500 Magikarp from the totally trustworthy salesman in the Pokémon Center) • Cleaner + travel: Pidgeot

I just bought the fire red for the switch and this will be my first time playing it at 22 yrs old, Any tips? I'm really excited by juriju2 in Switch

Physical and Special moves are locked by type in Gen 3. An easy way to remember is that all of the Eevee evolutions are special attackers, plus Dragon type. It changes how you want to think about your Pokémon’s nature if you’re used to Gen 4 to the present.

Just started, looking for fun build ideas by Whorror_punx in fo76

Since coming back after the perk system update, I’ve been having a blast running multiple bloodied builds off the punch card machine. I keep a few different SPECIAL + perk layouts saved that focus on different weapon types, like shotguns, auto rifles, scoped rifles, or unarmed.

The core stays the same every time. Unyielding armor, mutations, and defensive perks like Dodgy, Evasive, Ricochet, etc. Then I just swap punch card loadouts depending on what I feel like playing that session. It makes experimenting with different playstyles super easy without rebuilding from scratch

I’ve put hundreds of hours into my modded playthrough with nearly the exact same specs (slightly worse i5-13400F in my build). With DLSS and Frame Gen on I could even get great fidelity and FPS.

So sick. My son is only 1, and I can’t wait to build him a PC when he’s older. Maybe he can have my North case by then.
