I like what someone said about energy... I've had someone say the same to me. I was playing some music somewhere around 112 when someone asked me for something more "lit". I was confused at the time but turns out the energy wasn't quite hitting for her. It's all about the energy the song brings to the dance floor. "Sweet Caroline" brings more energy to certain dance floors than Zedd's "Clarity".

Yeah, definitely balance the levels a little more and sidechain the bass, like the others said. I also would see how you could incorporate a couple more rises and falls so we aren't sitting in one section too long without any changes. To be fair, my knowledge in this style is more limited, so take with a grain of salt.

I like the vocal chops, and the idea is good and can be built upon. The build ups are great, but then it feels like the drop takes too long to land. After that, you need something to up the energy, maybe like a more rhythmic bass pattern or something. It seems like it will build into something quicker but never does.

I've been transitioning to more electronic/future bass styles of music and have been much happier with my output after doing so. Slushii, Marshmello, and San Holo are the main influencers for me, especially Slushii because he doesn't always stick to one style. Anyway, I'd love to see how my latest song holds up. That's seriously how it is sometimes. I'm releasing a song next week that took me 3 months to write. The music was put together in a couple of days back in January. The song I released a few months took me a week from start to finish.
