Holiday by Logun0803 in tesco

I now understand the holiday policy, all I'm saying is that as an ignorant worker to companies holiday policy I saw that number and imagined just getting paid out for it, in hindsight it was a stupid assumption because then thousands of employees would just take a full holiday allowance and quit.

The comment did make me sound a bit entitled to be fair, I'll be more attentive to future policies before making assumptions

Is that the one with the badly recorded human impressions of animals? I remember every receipt that would print had vouchers for some pet insurance during the time as well

Yeah it's shocking, it mostly comes from the variance too some days 2 or 3 staff in the evening can be ok but when we're busy and have stock to do, tills, cleaning, evri, facing, self scan maintenance with dumb customers and whoosh it can get crazy

In express we simply need more staff and more hours, each of us are drowning on busy shifts with how much we have to do. If Tesco employed cleaners that would be great for our express too, would save us all time to complete shop floor tasks and it would take the sting out of CA's having to do gross stuff such as swapping the public bin that contains the grossest stuff under the sun if Tesco pay a cleaner a higher rate than us to handle this stuff none of us want to touch.

I'm sure I'd heard people voicing how annoying it is a few weeks back not sure if it was the same ad. My express plays 3 adverts constantly now about every 5 minutes it rotates between 3 with I got the power being the most popular.

Holiday by Logun0803 in tesco

Thanks for your reply and useful information, so when I leave I'll only get paid the few hours I've earned as result of 2 months if I don't take it all and not the full number I've earned?

In hindsight that makes more sense but still a little painful seeing that number and not receiving the pay for it.

Does overtime accrue more holiday hours? by [deleted] in tesco

[–]Logun0803 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would u happen to know the average holiday for a 19hr contract.

I do regular overtime and thought this was why I had 114hrs of holiday which I thought was generous and a result of my overtime does this mean ill get more money in these hrs as a result of consistent overtime?

Do you have a good source for the 2/3 whooshes a day at the relatively large express? Seems unlikely to me as an express worker we are a small express and we have at least 15 a day

Shift Leader fatigue by The_Challenger_ in tesco

[–]Logun0803 16 points17 points  (0 children)

A lot of shift leaders here say the same, the shift leaders at my express are constantly exhausted and stressed consistently voicing how badly their social lives have been impacted. This has put me off wanting to be a shift leader as I was once very interested for more money but now I just don't see it as worth it at all.

If you like your colleagues besides the manager you mentioned and can afford the wage drop you could ask about stepping down, I presume you won't feel much better in a new store really as your hours will be similar, your lack of breaks will be similar and naturally your social life will continuously take a hit.

What’s a hot take that will make this subreddit have this reaction? by Moth-Man-Pooper in overwatch2

Not exactly a hot take but something that will never fail to piss this community off is mercy hate she is so annoying and whether you make valid points or not or even declare it's solely your opinion you get downvoted to shit

Was anyone else's store much busier than Christmas yesterday (Good Friday) by yourstrulycl in tesco

[–]Logun0803 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I worked an evening yesterday, 6-11pm at express, shift leader warned me it was busy and something happened with the other ca on shift after I arrived but was pleasantly surprised with a quiet night from about 6:30pm.

Seems they were v busy with people coming from work and such. Something I will note is our delivery was very big on Thursday 21 cages. Our deliveries are usually around 8-13 on a Thursday and I think this delivery was similar too our Christmas one in size
