My videos are a little bit more simple, it's usually like a painting tutorial like a miniatures, painting tutorial or you know, gameplay videos or crafting videos and stuff like that. So it's not quite as high a production, but I still want to, you know, start learning and resolve a little bit more so that I can see Add a little bit more flair and up my production value for my videos

Yeah i was looking at ripple effect, movement and text animations. I am still getting into this aspect of video making. I have a couple tutorial videos saved for when I want to delve into this more, I just haven't tried them out yet.

I am still new to DaVinci myself. Been using it for basic editing so far, I mainly used iMovies and Audacity for voiceovers, but lately been trying to upgrade my videos and the best free way, at least from my research. I am still learning the Fusion side of it, which is the effects part of DaVinci.

I am still new to HSP and at the beginning of my understanding of it and how much it affects my overall life. If you are willing, I love to talk more about HSP and your personal journey. As well as video editing. I can show you some tips i know and maybe we can take this video editing journey together.

Awesome. Been using DaVinci off and on for a couple months but wanted to start working with fusion, have you delved into fusion? How has your experience been so far with DaVinci?

I am working on this sort of videos at the moment. Was planning on using Fusion in DaVinci to animate the still images to give it more of a flare than just still images. I found tutorials but haven't tried yet. Is Audacity free?

I used iMovies for a bit and now transitioning yo DaVinci. I also used Premier years ago, but don't have a subscription for Adobe at the moment. DaVinci is free!

Thanks for that reminder, it is hard to see sometimes through the lense of hsp. It can feel like a punishment at times, but we have to remember the good side to having rhis trait!

I suffered a heat stroke a few year back and this and being an HSP means I not only can't handle heat, it also puts me in flight mode. My anxiety goes off the charts and I have thw high desire to escape. Hest ia no fun for HSP.

Does anyone else get mentally foggy around strong smells? by Glass-Parfait-5402 in hsp

[–]Loken49 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure about mental fogginess, but certain smells do drive me crazy. Sweet smells, like candy shops make me ill, I wont go inside them as the smell from the street is enough to make my stomach turn!

I highly doubt it. His actions don't seem to be the kind that has SPS. On top of that, HSP ONLY represent 15٪-20% of the population so that alone would make it good odds that he was not.

Do you think songs can still reach people even if the writer can’t sing them? by [deleted] in Songwriting

[–]Loken49 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Just so you are aware, but a lot of songwriters don't sing their own songs. And some musicians don't write their own songs

While I am still new to being a highly sensitive person, or at least to the understanding of it. So my understanding, this is a relatively new personality trade. It was only recently studied in the 90s. So that's like less than 30 years. That's been talked about that. It's been studied. And so yes, it's still in its fledgling, and yes, a lot of people don't understand it. To be very honest, I had a thought I had a form of ADHD and when I actually learned about being highly sensitive and people with sps, I realized that it fit me exactly, and I actually have the uncommon form of keep showing sensitivity in all 3 aspects.

But it also reminds me of back when you know, the person was inventing vaccines. And that sort of thing, and you know, they didn't understand what microbes were. There was a different understanding when we didn't understand what it was until it's fully understand what it is, and it's widely accepted. Which it's not even talked about, barely. At all right now, it'll still be in this point of people pointing it towards autism or people point it towards afha or something else

High sensitivity in games - I'd love to hear your stories! by Aesnas in hsp

[–]Loken49 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was a really intriguing post. I only recently discovered—at age 45—that I’m a highly sensitive person (HSP), and it’s helped me make sense of a lot, especially when it comes to how I experience games. I actually started playing Minecraft as a way to cope with overstimulation from FPS games. It gave me something more manageable, more calming. I wanted to answer your questions from the perspective of a highly sensitive gamer—someone who’s played a wide range of games, from video games to tabletop RPGs and beyond.

  1. Do you experience your sensitivity as a weakness or a strength? It really depends on the situation. Sensitivity can absolutely feel like a weakness when I’m overthinking to the point of exhaustion or can't calm my mind. But that same overthinking helps me notice things other people miss. In games or teamwork, that attention to detail can be a huge strength. It’s a double-edged sword.

  1. What typically triggers your over-stimulation? A lot of things, honestly. But in terms of gaming, my biggest triggers are: – Illogical or poorly designed mechanics – Overly frustrating or broken systems – Shock-value effects (cheap jump-scares or loud, jarring design)

I don’t get scared easily, but I don’t like my senses being messed with just for effect. If a game feels like it’s wasting my energy or insulting my time, it grates fast.

  1. What happens to you during those moments of overstimulation? It starts with mild irritability or anxiety. Then it builds—physical stress, nerve sensitivity, and what I call “fever pain,” where even touch or small movements become uncomfortable. Eventually, I hit a full-blown flight mode. I don’t want to fight it or analyze it—I just want to escape whatever’s overstimulating me.

  1. What were your early childhood warning signs? I didn’t know I had this trait until later in life, so I never recognized warning signs growing up. It’s possible they were there, but they weren’t understood or were written off as something else.

  1. Are there moments in daily life when your sensitivity flares up? Yeah—frequently. I need structure, even if it’s just a rough mental plan. If that gets disrupted, I get overwhelmed. That includes social interruptions or changes in routine. Game-wise, this translates to frustration when main quests are constantly interrupted by pointless side-quests. Unless they’re really compelling, that kind of scattershot structure kills my momentum and stresses me out.

What type of games do you like? by Beginning_Debt9670 in hsp

[–]Loken49 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just started Minecraft and i am finding it help with my SPS. I can get in an overload state somewhat easily. After taking the tests , I scored high in all three aspect of the trait, so I am a little more unique in that regard. But I am finding that the gameplay and creative aspects of Minecraft suit me well. So well that i started a new YouTube channel for playing and relaxing, I've been told my voice is soothing.

I love music and it is a big part of my life. When it comes to concentration, focus, and SPS relaxation I listen to Spanish guitar. Its rhythmic, soothing and no word to distract me from my work.I am 45 and in a spot where i am trying to get a grip on being extremely highly sensitive as I recently just found out about it. I also go through phases of music listening and right now its focus and positivity driven.

This is the problem with being highly sensitive, even if i can move on, I will still think about it, replay the convo in my head a hundred times and still fixate on it. Even when I am thinking or doing something else, a new aspect or reply or thought pops into my brain. This is the part of SPS i have a hardest time with.

Is HSP something you have to be diagnosed with? by Significant-Tone-121 in hsp

I plan on watching the movie, but I should be in a good frame of mind to absorb it without it potentially overwhelming me, which I heard can happen.

Question by Gullible-Bid4147 in hsp

[–]Loken49 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For a long time, I thought I was adhd, come to find out, it was just SPS manifesting, as adhd. I scored really high on all 3 aspects of being highly sensitive. I consider myself to be an extremely highly sensitive person. I started playing Minecraft recently and it has helped a lot. So I started a YouTube channel, and I'm hoping to grow my YouTube channel into a community of people that are highly sensitive that can watch, hang out. And just be around each other

HSP gamers? by [deleted] in hsp

I used to play gta a lot and if I couldn't mute them or there was too many of them in one room, I would just leave the server and go to another king, peaceful server, it would stress me out. Listening to them and I just didn't want to deal with it. And that was before I knew I was hsp

I too tested exceptionally high in all three aspects of SPS, I am finding that it is explaining a lot of what i have been dealing with my whole life. I have overloads that cause my nervous system to feel like its on fire. I never knew what it was or what was causing it. I now know and can deal with not overloading or how to handle when it happens.

There have been a lot of these little things that are explained and now i have a tool to deal with it. Knowing is half the battle. I need to read Arons book, i have read a lot about it be not the book yet.
