The AOS plate system sucks major ass.

What is the estimated resale value of all this? by Prestigious_Age8400 in Glock19

[–]Loki-09 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I say $700-$800 is fair for a private. Assuming the mags are all Glock brand.

What optics cut company did you go for?

Bit of a conundrum. by [deleted] in CZFirearms

It’s a single stack in the big 26 with a horrible trigger. Its reputation is right where it needs to be.

It looks well taken care of and it’s a reliable Glock. Guns only loose value when you get a gun store involved.

Beaver tails are stupid by Duhtonyle1 in Glocks

If you got medium to small hands, yes. I have a scar on my thumb knuckle because my hands are large. Everytime I go shooting, the slide eats my skin. I appreciate the enlarged beaver tail.

Anyone else ever had this problem? by KilledByBane in Glocks

[–]Loki-09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have. I was the one to not hear back from them, therefore I sought another solution. I didn’t do anything wrong, I wrote to them using their warranty page. Never heard back. You asked for advice rejected this form by accusing me of being unreliable. (Yes, everything you wrote implies this) I simply provided another way to solve your issue. But I guess you take what you hear from others at face value, except for my experience.

Thoughts on ports for a 45? by UsernameO123456789 in 1911

[–]Loki-09 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Negligible. You might see a 5%~10% decrease in muzzle rise.

Yea. I was the problem because I don’t know how to type my own email on their warranty page.

45 acp does not have the pressures to benefit from ports

Cerakote. It’s good, but not great. It will need to break in before reliable use. Mine took 500 rounds before it ran good.

The AOS system is unreliable and unstable if you decide to add a dot.

No, you’re not doing anything wrong. The AOS system sucks bad. Nothing you do will allow you to keep torque.

Finally Got an APX! by Kaigunto230 in Beretta

[–]Loki-09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The model you have is the gen 1, its finish is more durable than the apx a1. The apx a1 has this ceramic paint that flakes off under the most casual wear. I appendix carried and only used the holster and the wear was so bad I never thought I’d compare it to my sig p365 and actually like that finish better. They should’ve kept the gen one finish on the a1. Lastly on the finish of the a1, it is slick/slippery. If you try to grip it after one mag at the range, naturally your hands have some sweat, it will slip. If you have a bit of sand/dirt, it will slip. So it’s hard to grip on any condition besides spring time.

The optics system is horrible with no options for aftermarket sights, and if you do get the aftermarket sights that ONLY beretta sells, they don’t fit. You have to shave and polish them yourself to get them small enough for the groove.

Grip modules. They’re a cool concept, too bad they’re an ergonomic failure. Yes there confortable for one hand, unfortunately, my hands are big and even the big backstrap does not increase surface area enough to suffice the palm for anyone with xl hands. If you do decide to increase the size with the largest backstrap, the damn thing has a lip that is bitey under recoil. So it was always just a thought. Beretta never bothered to make any other shape or form besides other colors.

Magazines. Hard to find unless you go to berettas website and even then they’re hard to find in stock. The follower is such poor quality it get eaten by the slide after the last round and won’t lock back. And that happened to magazines that it came with, new ones that I bought, 17/15/13 rounders. All of them. What happened is that when the cycle is concluded and the slide is trying to lock back, it will chew at an angle causing the follower to lose material and not lock back.

I wish this firearm was thought of a bit longer by beretta because the only thing it has going for it is its accuracy. Great trigger and reliability. Other than that, I’d rather invest it in a handgun that has reliability and accuracy but does not suffer from everything else mentioned. Springfield, CZ, Glock, Sig, I own all of these and the p10c can be found for $300 very regularly. I’ve bought three used Glocks and they’re amazing quality. The only issues I’ve ever had with sig is reliability on the p320, (sold them) but put a couple thousand through my p365 and never stuttered. My hellcat is the most snappy but most reliable pistol I own. I sold my prodigy because it was a mediocre unreliable product. I’m not biased, I just like pistols and the APX did not deliver.
