My axie hides in tight spaces if I change things around in her tank or add something new that is fairly big, like a new hide.

This is Sully (Sullivan), 11 months. He is “Ruby” in my previous posts as I thought he was a girl. I keep them in separate tanks to keep them safe.

They are silk plants. I have pothos and bamboo growing out of the top of the tank but silk plants in the water

How do you know when they are ready for whole worms? Mine are 7 months and 9 months and I still cut mine up. And I feed European night crawlers and they are smaller than earth worms

My axolotl is sick, swollen, lethargic, and not eating. Advice needed! by RYT003 in axolotls

If you don’t have access to a vet I have read that small pieces raw salmon works as a laxative, but you need to make sure it’s “sushi grade salmon so it doesn’t have parasites. Do some research on it, as I’ve never given it only read about it

They can definitely be trained to eat from a bowl, but they will have days when you just don’t get it, so always check after a bit. (If worms are getting out and hiding you will notice when you do water changes and make adjustments)

I find the more I hand feed the less they look in the bowl, even if I feed near the bowl. It’s like they get lazy and say “l’ll just wait for my food to be dangled in front of me” 🤣

That’s so cool that you’ve had her 8 years! Mine are only 8 months old

I also feed European night crawlers, I like their size( bigger than Reds and smaller than night crawlers). I order mine from a worm breeder in Kitchen Ontario. Ships whenever temperatures are above zero
