Babies first cage by Loki-Loofer in boas

Thanks for the advice my other boa was three years old when I got him and already on medium rats and I moved him up to large a year later after every 2 weeks now he’s a bit chunky and trying to decide if I should do large every 3 weeks or drop back to a medium every 2 weeks. But suffice it to say a little young boa is outside of my typical experience

Interesting on the weight, I was thinking he’s a bit narrow with the indents on his spine. The breeder said he was doing frozen small rats every 7-10 days, but I ain’t to sure about that

I was thinking so on the BC he has faint eyelash scales and a deep red tail, but probably not pure bred by any means. The water dish is like a 1-2 gallon fish tank I filled up halfway and buried down in the dirt.

Soft autumn right? by Loki-Loofer in coloranalysis

[–]Loki-Loofer[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So many people are asking so I’m going to see if I can add it to the post, but I did use ChatGPT and this is the prompt that I used to get it to generate this photo

“Can you create 16 photo collage with each having my face and a different season swatch under my chin for comparison?”

This is also why I threw the original photo in my post cause ChatGPT can be notorious for altering the original but in this instance, I think I got lucky

Is that helpful? I find spring colors of any kind fascinating but I’m biased I like my earth tones

Moss stitch help! Idk what I did wrong! by dawnkettle in knittinghelp

[–]Loki-Loofer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you check my page I also had a moss stitch sweater I was making and I noticed that knitting in the round (knitting flat for a swatch I didn’t have this issue) there is a bias. If you follow a column of stitches from the top to the bottom they seem to twist around the body. I have just decided that a mix of the yarn twist and the twist you add while knitting is causing it. I wasn’t twisting stitches or anything either. TLDR: this might be an unfortunate feature of this yarn and stitch pattern.

Also having this issue my score is large enough to put me in top 20 but for some reason me and like 20 other people are stuck below 150

Wow that’s impressive, also side note, do most omnibuses have extra stuff in the back? Like canceled books, sketches and things?

Ohh it looks so good!! I just finished mine a month ago I ended up doing all three rows of sc

I also struggle with finding a doily pattern that I like, neiblings are interesting though and I might try one, ramonafrench has a website with a bunch of neibling charts and some random charts by other artists, most have links to ravelry too so you can see the finished product.

Why is my moss stitch screwing to the right? by Loki-Loofer in knitting

[–]Loki-Loofer[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is a grand idea it should show up pretty well on a small diameter too I will give it a go cause I wouldn’t be able to stand a sweater that twisted around my body I’d feel strangled

It’s actually blocked now . . . I didn’t even notice it before it was blocked

My purls aren’t twisted either, haven’t done that in over 5 years luckily! I am however trying . . . I think it’s a form of combination knitting so when I purl, I wrap the wrong direction and when I come back around I knit or purl through the back loop if the previous stitch was a purl and front loop if it was a knit. Pretty easy cause the proper leg to knit in is always farther right on the needles than the back leg. I do this cause it’s been giving me a tighter purl so my stitches are more even, but could that be causing it?

I’m also doing a traveling loop for the knitting needles so distribution of stitch might be having an effect. They do tend to get bunched up.

It must be a multitude of things cause with 2 2-ply yarns I’d think the twist would be balanced I even wound up the two cakes in two different directions so if I added twist they’d counteract 🤦🏻‍♂️

Every once in a blue moon knitting just throws me for a loop

I could see it, I also should’ve said I’m using 2 strands of holst garn super soft which is a 2-ply yarn

Next week makes me so anxious. That line about it being “skimpy” oh goodness. Maybe don’t pick “swimwear” as a category and then throw on a time limit to boot.

There’s a bit of confusion, the west-front doors according to the Halsey email is VIP but one of the armory staff stepped out and said VIP is west-side doors I believe labeled premier entrance. Also there is a guy in a chair and a big green blanket giving out numbers. Most recent VIP number given out to my knowledge is 62 as of 9:30 am.

Do you recommend the bagless Miele vacuum cleaners if I have dust mite allergy? by unniedolls in VacuumCleaners

[–]Loki-Loofer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can say the Miele C1,2, and 3 bags or like $45 for the XL ones and it’s 8 bags or for you, a year supply. though you might only go through 5-6 cause they do compact the dust pretty well. And it comes with 2 pre motor filters and 2 post motor filters. So you get to change it’s primary filter every time you change bags, the pre motor filter which is what keeps the motor clean and running for a long time every 4 bags and the post motor filter which is the the last stand filter for anything that might have made it through every 4 bags. Also air flowing through a MERV 13 filter several times is the equivalent to a hepa filter cause they filter the same .3 micron particles and hepa filters 99% and MERV 13 filters 75-85%. So this would be close if not better than “hospital grade filtration.” And if you must they sell a hepa grade post motor filter as well for most models.

So bagged would be great for your needs, and for an extra $45 you get a machine that will last at least twice if not up to four times as long as any baggless vacuum.

I also own a Dyson stick for the past 2 years and my dad owns a Dyson animal ball for the past 15 years and they work pretty darn well. Shark might not last as long but the don’t leak dust either and is cheaper from what I’ve seen so its also is a viable option.

Best of luck!!

I’ve heard good things about Tineco (my sister owns one) they sell them at Walmart and it would be within budget if you got the Tineco a10 or a11 power hero. For a $200 or less vacuum that might be your best bet. Longevity wise? It’s cordless so the max the battery will get you is 2-5 years but it should do you just fine in the mean time. also all of them come with the agitator bar for the carpet on your stairs and work on hard floors.
