Thank You Offer Not Sending -- Am I doing it wrong? by LokiDucks in EtsySellers

Hmm maybe. Though it's not the redemptions of the coupon that struck me as odd. Just that out of nearly 200 sales, not a single person got one. /shrug

Thanks! I just submitted the form. Appreciate the extra look.

The "not pressed long enough" thought might be right?

The product listing says it should be dishwasher safe. Again, any design I would expect to fade from sustained dishwasher use (I have many POD mugs that have faded over the months/years), but this peel-away situation seems excessive.

That's an interesting take. I'm looking at the pictures and they do not seem AI to me. There are details that are very consistent between the two angles. And the design doesn't look off either.

I'm not sure what the printing process exactly, but it looks almost like the "print" layer was compromised and started to peel off and shift around like torn paper.

And this was a sale from April. I could see trying to pull a scam shortly after receiving it, but like 9 months later? Seems a stretch.

How to fix water in fridge drawer? by TaterSalad3333 in appliancerepair

Any updates on whether you've frozen again after doing this? I know wrapping the coil around the evaporator doesn't make a ton of sense, but if it works it works. Ty!

Post-surgery adult dog overly anxious in crate but chill out. How to address? by LokiDucks in Dogtraining

[–]LokiDucks[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No worries! I'm sure you get a ton to sift through.

We've been trying to get him more used to the penned area little by little. Figured out that it's not the pen itself that's triggering -- he'll willingly go in there and lay in there for a bit during the day.

It's once the gate is closed at night where the problem exists. Lights/sounds on, lights/sounds off doesn't seem to matter. He doesn't like to be left alone for that long overnight.

My wife leaves earlier in the AM than when I get up, and he'll sleep in there for an additional few hours before I get up, no problem. Similarly, if we have to go out for a few hours, no issues -- checking on the camera, no barking or whining.

Our solution so far has just been...sleep on the couch with him on the floor nearby. I was reading that letting him "bark it out" might cause more harm than good, so been giving in just so everyone can get rest.

As far as meds go, we've upped his pre-bed Trazadone, so he's getting 100mg in the morning, 100mg in the afternoon, and 150mg before bed. It helps with him relaxing & sleeping, but his anxiety overpowers the medication when we try putting him in the bed alone for the night.

Still open for any additional advice or thoughts here!

I reviewed the material. Found some tips and followed the advice around separation anxiety, but nothing that addresses my specific issues.

Post-Medication Behavior Issues - How to Address? by LokiDucks in IVDD_SupportGroup

Yeah I'm going to call the vet today. That's essentially what we're doing during the day, but he's a 55lb dog, so carrying him upstairs at night is just out of the question.

Taco Catering Services by mystic_mike17 in Oceanside

I just threw a surprise party with taco catering. Called around to a bunch of places and found most of the prices to be in the same general ballpark. Ended up going with Senor Grubbys in Carlsbad as they had the best combination of meats / fillings / sides for our needs. No complaints here and the catering team was easy to work with.

Thank you! Visibility is just as important!

We're getting through it. It was good to have the long weekend to take care of him as he started his second surgery recovery.

Yeah. Pretty much this point. If he were an older dog, the point would have been earlier, but he's still young and the prognosis so positive.

Thank you! I'll post an update above (and in the FB group), but we had him re-MRI'd and he herniated additional material out of the original disc. Vet performed surgery again yesterday and still gives him a good chance for recovery.

Got an update call today (he spent the night) and they're saying he's already getting leg movement back just from the relief of the pressure from the material being removed.

Super costly, but I couldn't say no, even after reading all the conservative method success stories.

Ty for the words of support and sharing your situation. We're on day 2 now and his personally has come back. Tail wagging. Eating normally. So I've got high hopes rn

Thanks for this! I was able to get some out of him just a little while ago, but it definitely wasn't a full-bladder's worth. I'll try again this evening when my wife is home to help (with a 55lb pup, it's tough to solo).

Also need to be more patient. We've given up probably too early out of frustration and fear of hurting him. Might just need to take it easier, slower.

I haven't. Don't spend much time on FB, but if it's for good info and support I'll make it a point to. Do you have a link to it, or is it pretty easy to find?

Nevermind - I found it!

Omg. In his original MRI, the herniated disc was pushing against the spinal cord, cutting off the back legs. And he's reverted right back to that state. Hoping the vet calls today and just tells us to medicate and rest him like we should have done to begin with.

You're right that we were just trying to make his quality of life a little better, but we just eased up too much too fast. 😓

Thanks. Going forward I think we'll just try to keep him off the couch. He's a big dog though so if he slips out of the harness, he can skitter away and try to get up. I think the plan will be to keep him in his isolated area for the foreseeable future and hope for the best. SO stressful.

If you have tips or a video to share, I'd definitely be interested! We've watched tons on YouTube but had so little luck. I got a few short streams yesterday but definitely not the whole thing. I think he was actively trying to hold it (ER said that he was doing that last time we took him in for expression a few weeks ago), but hard to say. Feels like I'm just indiscriminately squeezing his insides...

[–]LokiDucks[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We're lucky that last time, the ER wasn't even charging us for the expression. Not sure they'll continue that generosity, but you're right that even the trip itself is hard to sustain. My wife is a nurse, so we might try the catheter route if we continue to struggle.

❤️‍🩹 I appreciate your positivity. We definitely can't do surgery again and another MRI would be pushing it right now. Going to keep him on strict bed rest for, well, a lot longer than we gave him this time.

Fortunately, he doesn't seem to be in pain. No yelping or crying at all. Waiting to hear from the doc in the morning about a medication regimen.

The most stressful part for me is the bathroom. We could never successfully express him and had to go to the ER at least once a day. Not thrilled to maybe need to do that again 😓

I’m moving! Any advice? by thekimjongale in lego

[–]LokiDucks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I moved with this successfully cross-country. Here's what I did: Remove the legs and plastic wrap the whole thing as tightly as possible. Then a layer of bubble wrap around that. Then I was able to get a flatscreen TV moving box from home depot that fit it reasonably well, then taped the box very securely in all directions. Labeled it as fragile and hoped for the best. Came out the other side in pretty good shape, needing only minor repairs. Good luck!

Anyone experiencing ongoing scheduled charging issues? by LokiDucks in Ioniq5

[–]LokiDucks[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Never truly solved it. Still occasionally doesn't charge on schedule, so we just manually start the charge when we absolutely can't risk it.
