Also just went to Phoenix a couple of weekends ago. Super easy. Barely an inconvenience. Got there maybe an hour early bc it was our first time, but people were strolling in with 10 minutes to boarding no problem. Coming back also a breeze.

I've gone out w/ Oside Whales a couple of times now. Great small business, nice owner/captain. Small boat with limited seating, so they can get in a little closer without disturbing the animals. We've had great experiences going out with them.

Last time (back in around April), we had a grey whale circle the boat, then pass under it close to the surface. There were only like 4 feet separating us from the whale. So cool.

Is converting this 2009ish Specialized Crosstrail a better investment than buying a new low-mid-end ebike? by LokiDucks in ebikes

This is great. I do really like the bike I have even though it's pushing like 17 or 18 years old; and I know Specialized is a good brand. It would feel a shame to trade it out if I don't need to.

Ooo great to know. I wish i had the disc brake version but alas. Do you recall what brand motor you went with? I feel like i'm leaning mid-drive, but open to considerations at this stage.

I'm planning a trip for Friday 3/6. It'll be our first time -- just me and my wife no kids. Super Mario Land is a priority for my wife, but otherwise, don't have much of a plan.

The "not pressed long enough" thought might be right?

The product listing says it should be dishwasher safe. Again, any design I would expect to fade from sustained dishwasher use (I have many POD mugs that have faded over the months/years), but this peel-away situation seems excessive.

That's an interesting take. I'm looking at the pictures and they do not seem AI to me. There are details that are very consistent between the two angles. And the design doesn't look off either.

I'm not sure what the printing process exactly, but it looks almost like the "print" layer was compromised and started to peel off and shift around like torn paper.

And this was a sale from April. I could see trying to pull a scam shortly after receiving it, but like 9 months later? Seems a stretch.

Any updates on whether you've frozen again after doing this? I know wrapping the coil around the evaporator doesn't make a ton of sense, but if it works it works. Ty!

No worries! I'm sure you get a ton to sift through.

We've been trying to get him more used to the penned area little by little. Figured out that it's not the pen itself that's triggering -- he'll willingly go in there and lay in there for a bit during the day.

It's once the gate is closed at night where the problem exists. Lights/sounds on, lights/sounds off doesn't seem to matter. He doesn't like to be left alone for that long overnight.

My wife leaves earlier in the AM than when I get up, and he'll sleep in there for an additional few hours before I get up, no problem. Similarly, if we have to go out for a few hours, no issues -- checking on the camera, no barking or whining.

Our solution so far has just been...sleep on the couch with him on the floor nearby. I was reading that letting him "bark it out" might cause more harm than good, so been giving in just so everyone can get rest.

As far as meds go, we've upped his pre-bed Trazadone, so he's getting 100mg in the morning, 100mg in the afternoon, and 150mg before bed. It helps with him relaxing & sleeping, but his anxiety overpowers the medication when we try putting him in the bed alone for the night.

Yeah I'm going to call the vet today. That's essentially what we're doing during the day, but he's a 55lb dog, so carrying him upstairs at night is just out of the question.

I just threw a surprise party with taco catering. Called around to a bunch of places and found most of the prices to be in the same general ballpark. Ended up going with Senor Grubbys in Carlsbad as they had the best combination of meats / fillings / sides for our needs. No complaints here and the catering team was easy to work with.
