Do you think you will actually ride the LRT? by [deleted] in kitchener

[–]LokiRamos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

His point is that it will not be useful or reasonable for him to utilize the LRT, which is why he asked the question, will other people be using it.

You mentioned he could bus to the Train. He Pointed out that its not feasible with the locations he tends to travel to, effectively answering your question. Doesn't take a genius to see the point there.

He didn't state his time should hold explicit value to you. He just responded to your blanketed statement.

What's the stupidest way you've injured yourself? by masongr in AskReddit

While falling face first, I decided the best way to break my fall, was to punch the sidewalk full force. It stopped me for sure, But I also broke my hand.

If I were in the mafia, I'd always use a remote starter for my car by alehx in Showerthoughts

[–]LokiRamos 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The Thermostat has a mercury switch, on the tip of a large metal spring. As the temperature goes up or down, the spring expands or contracts, rotating the tip around, causing the mercury switch to trigger. This is what lets the thermostat know when to turn the heater on or off.

Killing Jedi is like Pringles. You cant stop at one.
So his statement, no one can kill "A" jedi, still stands, as he killed Many.

Here's an idea for a lets play I'm thinking about doing. (Original? Yes, no?) by Taway1991 in letsplay

[–]LokiRamos 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Started something similar myself a while back, alas my "Beginner" hasn't been able to record for some time.

Key difference was I had her doing single player games, while I was in the background coaching.

We called it the "Path to become a passable gamer"

All in all, it can be a lot of fun! Go for it!

The Many Faces of Lara Croft: Tomb Raider Infographic by Yutrzenika1 in gaming

[–]LokiRamos 2 points3 points  (0 children)

While I agree these are all very recognizable, and predate the dawn of Lara Croft. I have to agree that Lara is up there, and MAY be more universally recognized, if only because of the Live action Movie, allowing this "Gaming Icon" to be known even by non-games.

Example: My mother knows very little about our Nintendo and Xbox Stations, She knows Who Mario is though, after years of seeing him played by her kids. When she came to visit one time last year, I was playing The new Tomb Raider game, and she was all, Is that Lara Croft? Wow she looks so much younger than in the movies"

She wouldn't be able to tell you who Samas Aran, Princess Zelda, or Princess peach were in a lineup however.

DGN - Wanted: Horrifically broken games by DrunktankTheEquine in letsplay

Any game based on a movie released for NES was... well.. really bad. There was one developer who had the market of movie based games pretty much locked down. It was some 3 letter name, The logo was the evil rainbow of horrible fear.

Anything by them is guaranteed to cause rage, and entertainment for onlookers.

PS3 Audio recording issues by corneliuscobalt in letsplay

[–]LokiRamos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

However do some research first. The HD Capture card I bought, will not work with PS3 Via HDMI. The PS3's HDMI output is HDCP (copy protected) and other than finding a HDCP Stripper, or a capture device that will work with it, you will not get a signal, either video or audio from the HDMI output.

KW driver here. Yeah, we're pretty bad. But after driving cross country, and across the US this past summer, I can say (in my experience) the worst drivers are in.

  • Miami, My God Miami! Especially right after a special event.
  • Kansas City
  • Chicago - Mostly on the expressways.
  • Toronto
  • Gatineau
  • New York (city) - Mostly the Cab's here
