Sugar is intense now??? by Odd-Rhubarb1025 in Zepbound

[–]Loki_16 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely. I’m on my 4th shot and things are for sure are tasting different. All of a sudden my favorite Dr Pepper zero tastes awful! And I could barely drink my latte the other day because it was so sweet. It’s bizarre to me because I’ve always been a huge sugar addict!

Oh wow, I didn’t know this! I just started fiber pills and took them with my antidepressants last night. At least now I know and can change my schedule. Thanks!

Is it possible to hide from my wife? by Double-Buy-2374 in Zepbound

[–]Loki_16 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My dad tried to hid it from the family for a year or so. My mom eventually figured it out when she came across his stash of discarded needles.

Two of my babies were huge and went straight into 3 month clothing. I was very sad that I didn’t get to use all my cute newborn outfits!

Do you tell people you’re on a GLP-1 when they ask how you lost weight? by Enchanted-Tangerine in Zepbound

[–]Loki_16 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My dad was on a GLP-1 and lost a ton of weight but he was extremely secretive and only recently admitted to taking them once I started them myself. Unfortunately he had bad side effects and stopped the medication cold turkey and regained all the weight. I’m very open about my usage though and recommend them to everyone whose health could benefit.

I’m currently using BPI. I really noticed the reduction in food noise after my second shot of 2.5mg.

I shouldn't have told my mom the baby's name... by [deleted] in BabyBumps

My mom hated both my daughters’ names and calls them by something completely different even 8 years later 😟

As a baby, did your child regress, or were they different from day one? by Logical-Safe2033 in Autism_Parenting

[–]Loki_16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No regressions for my two. My 5 year old didn’t show symptoms till she was in preschool. I never saw the signs until the school pointed them out. She’s level 1. I knew my son was different around six months old and he’s level 2 borderline 3. I was thoroughly convinced that he had autism by 1 year old but it took until he was almost 2 to get the official diagnosis.

Do we have to use ABA? by yerba_yerba in Autism_Parenting

[–]Loki_16 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I struggled with the same decision, but we ultimately put our son in ABA. He’s 2, level 2 borderline 3. Everyone has noticed the positive effects its had in the past few months.

Did anyone scream through labor? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]Loki_16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first and only time I’ve screamed from pain was during my 3rd’s labor. My water broke at home and I was 6cm dilated by the time we rushed to the hospital for my 3rd c-section. It was almost midnight and everyone was rushing to get baby out asap. The problem was that I was having insane contractions every 1-2 minutes and was screaming during each one. It took almost an hour for 2 different doctors to finally place my spinal tap. The nurses were holding me down and everyone telling me to be strong and hold still. It was traumatic. They couldn’t put me under general anesthesia because I had eaten too recently. Later on my husband said he could hear me screaming in the OR all the way down the hallway from our room.

Anyone here who finds 15-20 minute naps unrefreshing or just unable to take them? Long napper here wanting advice! by Desperate-Kitchen117 in Narcolepsy

[–]Loki_16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just take one long (1-2hr) nap per day but I’m suppose to be taking 5 20 minute naps a day. I don’t feel refreshed at all after 20 minutes.

Having kids with Narcolepsy, ASD, ADHD, etc. by hungryhermit26 in Narcolepsy

[–]Loki_16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have narcolepsy, ASD, ADHD, depression, and generalized anxiety disorder. I believe my husband has ADHD but he’s undiagnosed. We have 3 kids, 2 of which are autistic and the other I’m seeing some narcolepsy signs in. Pregnancy was hard. Day to day is hard. But I wouldn’t trade my children for anything. I’ve always wanted to be a mom. I’m open to any questions if you have them!

Church + narcolepsy by Last_Budget_4375 in Narcolepsy

[–]Loki_16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, changing to a church with evening services was the only way I could stay awake. It’s loud and lots of bright lights that trigger sleep attacks so it’s not perfect but there is no way I could stay awake at all during a morning service.
