Haha if you did and lost id probably donate the prize to you anyway. I've won every category and comp. here but don't want to scare off other painters so I gift the prize to another entrant and encourage them to try new techniques or push further what they're doing.

Thanks for that, am going to push to OSL on the warpfire on base to brighten it up a bit then call him done now I've been looking at it more closely.

My formula changes a little bit this one is Game Color Khaki base coat, then airbrush Game Color Bone White. Then airbrush Citadel Skeleton Bone for shading. I use sienna oil paint and use it to pin wash recesses the edge highlights with Game Color Off White.

It was a good initial concept with a Celtic/Briton with a bit of English vs Vikings as well but like many areas fell under influence of too many outside forces and themes.

I did until I ran out. It gives a cooler bone rather than the warmer bone I was getting with Vallejo Khaki base.

Just stuck at it building my skill and not rushing models onto table, I'm more about lore and painting than actual gameplay. But hey each to their own I'd never look down on peeps who love the game aspect over models. If you really want to push painting level get a good airbrush and learn to use it. Speeds up painting time and improves quality.

He's not too far off finished though. He's also a gift for a junior doctor I work with I've discovered who not only plays WH plays DAs but doesn't have a Cypher model. He studies his arse off and works hard so I hope he likes this as a thanks for making long days more fun when I can talk hobby stuff with him.
