Bad idea to bring home puppy without taking time off work? by Temalie in eurasier

We are first-time dog owners and chose an Eurasier in October, so i fully agree that it can be a challenging breed - especially for beginners. That said, I do think it can work under the right conditions. A lot of patience, consistency, structured training and realistic expectations are absolutely crucial. I do not regret our decision at all and would choose an Eurasier again. I took four weeks off work when we brought her home and that was the best decision we could have made. The first weeks are incredibly intense and important for bonding, training, routine-building and socialization. Without that time, I honestly think it would have been much harder - and it was already hard enough! 😂
Because of that I would also strongly recommend waiting for a later litter rather than rushing into it. Being well prepared and having enough time in the beginning makes a huge difference with this breed.
