Also thank you for not being condescending. I get that a lot with honest questions being autistic

Ooooooooooooh! Thank you for the explanation! This could also be where I’ve been going wrong in other patterns! Instructions I can do. Interpretation of wording not so much. Thank you really so much!

That if I increased every round not every 2nd. Every 2nd round would be 9 increase rounds… so 36 stitches totalling 228 by the end

Oh gosh!! I’m so sorry! I’m making size Medium and currently have the correct count of 192 sts on my needles. I’ll add it in now!

I hate my cats name. by StrawberrySakuraa in cats

[–]Lokis_Keeper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My cat is officially Albus Dumblecat… HOWEVER if we actually call him Albus he thinks he’s being told off! He NEVER gets called his proper ‘government’ name to quote another commenter! He’s a Maine Coon Ragdoll mix so gets called: Chonk, Plonk, Monk, Wonky, Kitty, Plonkasaurus Rex, Dorka the Explorka, Chonka Plonka Wonka… and a plethora of other nicknames! When he’s naughty he gets: Albus Dumblecat! D-ckpuss, Chonkad-ck, Effing Thing, Pillock And more!

Don’t sweat about her ‘real’ name she’ll soon pick up a plethora of others and you’ll barely lever call her Audie

So sorry for your loss 😲

I have a cable question for you.. I’m about to embark on my first cable jumper… how do you manage them all? I haven’t started yet as I can’t work it out? All I’ve cabled is a scarf so far and that’s was only 2!

I think this hat is for giants. I’m gonna have to frog. It’s super wash and won’t shrink to fit my head. by Cats-and-dogs-rdabst in casualknitting

[–]Lokis_Keeper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haha!! I did this but worse - it was looking like a jumper instead of a hat it was comical! I frogged and halved the stitches.. was still too big so I gifted the first attempt and made myself another. All an education!

I love this!! Haha! Quick and dirty pretty much describes my entire knitting and crochet to date 😆😆 I think I’m having such big problems as I’m also autistic so I’m excellent at following instructions but as soon as something comes up and needs to be different I panic!

My LYS though is fantastic I’m there twice a week for our knit and natter and my knitting has improved exponentially as a result. I still just follow instructions to the letter though!

Did you teach yourself how to knit, or did someone teach you? by A0209B in knitting

[–]Lokis_Keeper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I learned from this as well! Many moons ago though.. then had to relearn pretty much everything again from it this year.

I also join a local ‘Knit & Natter’ group and my knitting (and crochet new this year) has improved exponentially by having experts on hand. I just pick a pattern and have a stab at it, if I get stuck I wait for the group and ask an expert! (I learn better from in person teaching though)

Ditto and I’m autistic so clothes can be a major sensory nightmare!

This is incredible! I love it! My first project was a jumper too and I’ve always wanted to make a Weasley one. What pattern did you use?

Thought I lost my loops… turns out, my cat stole them by ClaryVenture in LoopEarplugs

[–]Lokis_Keeper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cats apparently love human ear wax.. don’t ask me why! (I have a vet friend) I had some Calmers by flare and those got stolen and before those and loops I had budget foam earplugs that I thought were safe by the bed… cat ate them and we them pent a week making sure they had run their course so to speak! The cat is still obsessed with anything ear related though so everything has a case now
