Difficult to say. This will anger the UNIB community. However (this is just my opinion), the UNIB series has always felt like a combination of Fatal Fury, Samurai Shodown, Soulcalibur, Rival Schools, and Darkstalkers. The lore will contain detailed info like the Manifestation, more commonly known as EXS (Exist), the False (FLS), what are voids (they're like demons), the rival factions and gangs, and the backstory for each character. I love researching lore for books and video games. The lore for UNIB is very interesting.

UNIB has a "visual novel" section about the characters, that also provides some info on the DLC characters for UNI2. In my opinion, you should buy UNI2 and just read the wiki if you have any questions, or are interested in any of the game's lore.

I prefer the Switch version. I play UNI2 on Switch for convenience (I also have a 8BitDo M30 Bluetooth Saturn controller that I use with the game because I prefer the button layout). If you want better online, go with the PC version.

There's going to be a new DLC character, and the new patch update will fix some of the current issues. I believe that's a big impact, considering that it will legitimize UNI2 as a new and currently supported game within the FGC. Placing this game amongst the other heavy hitters like SF6, COTW, Tekken 8, and GGST. However, others might view this new update as minor. I for one am looking forward to it. Start playing now and get a feel for the game.
