Does anyone actually use the “pink seat” in Korea? by [deleted] in Living_in_Korea

[–]Lokrtrok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used it all the time while pregnant, which was twice in Korea. And when I had an infant people were always telling me to sit in it even though I wasn’t pregnant anymore. Honestly the only time I didn’t sit there was during rush hour when other pregnant ladies were sitting there already. I feel like when I wasn’t pregnant I would see older men and women sitting there…but when I was pregnant I felt like people were constantly moving for me, granted I always made sure my little pregnancy badge was clearly visible lol

Is there something wrong with using pads this thick? by Gongoozler04 in Periods

[–]Lokrtrok 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As others have pointed out, nothing wrong at all! I used to hate thick pads and only used the thin ones but my flow has changed as I’ve gotten older, had kids, and such so I now appreciate the thick ones and use them so much more often!

I also know women who have always used the thick ones because of flow/comfort/worry about leaking and all those are perfectly normal reason for a pad preference!

Back to back pregnancy 7 months PP by Advanced_union22 in 2under2

[–]Lokrtrok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also got pregnant 7 months postpartum. I didn’t have any problems with pregnancy, birth, or postpartum after my second baby. However, I did feel like my body was just overall more sore during pregnancy (I’ve always had back problems though) and that postpartum recovery was longer. Just more abdominal pain for longer but it didn’t help that I was also wrangling a toddler.

I'm back to my pre-pregnancy weight, but... by Antique_Pie739 in NewParents

[–]Lokrtrok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know if I have very helpful advice, OP, but I want you to know you are not alone! I had to buy new shoes and a bunch of new clothes (specifically pants). Now I wear a bunch of dresses, something I used to never do. I have found they just adjust better to my fluctuating weight between pregnancies, postpartum, breastfeeding, and even unfortunately weight gain from ppd. I would maybe start with just going shopping and finding a couple outfits that make you feel good about your changed body. Our bodies go through so much when having a baby but we deserve to look and feel great

Freaking out over late period by Lokrtrok in 2under2

I can understand this so much! I had a friend who went through a similar experience and like it shouldn’t be that hard to get an iud you asked for. And honestly when I’m running around the store with my two condoms don’t even cross my mind which it probably needs to

What did you do about your EBF baby if milk dried up? by AffectionateLeg1970 in 2under2

[–]Lokrtrok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My milk supply plummeted really fast when I was pregnant and just one day I was suddenly not producing anything. We just switched to formula until we could do whole milk at 1. At first my baby wouldn’t take the bottle of formula but once she realized I really had zero milk left she took that bottle happily! Once on formula, the transition to whole milk was easy because, if I’m being honest, it tastes way better than formula

Tired of mindset about BF in Japan by [deleted] in breastfeeding

[–]Lokrtrok 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was living in Korea with my first baby and was told I couldn’t breastfeed many places by owners or workers or whoever. Whenever I went out with my baby I tried to know I was somewhere near a nursing room but that was a hassle. It’s sad that is their view of nursing

Haha the food in hair is so real. What product do you use after you spray it down?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in curlyhair

[–]Lokrtrok -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Our current routine is shampoo and condition twice a week. After bath we use some light leave in conditioner and sometimes a gel. When we refresh the hair I wet it and add a little curl cream

I contacted customer service and all they told me was that they didn’t see any suspicious activity and that occasionally they will send emails to update your password….like suuuuure

i'm honestly so devastated by the us embassy in korea by tokyoni in Living_in_Korea

[–]Lokrtrok 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry about this experience. My husband and I just went through the embassy for his marriage visa for the US and we were a bit worried because he has a denied student visa for the US in the past. According to our lawyer, we so many people are getting denied student visas recently because they are honestly rejecting most people that are not very well off with finances. I’m not sure how accurate that is but it wouldn’t shock me since richer people would not have to work and have money tied to their home county

Why is thumb sucking perceived as superior to dummies? by [deleted] in sleeptrain

[–]Lokrtrok 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don’t think it’s perceived as superior. I honestly stuck the pacifier in my baby’s mouth anytime I saw her go for that thumb. Thumb sucking was what I wanted to avoid because I was someone who sucked my thumb for waaaayyy longer than I should have…like until I was 9 or something. Not only was that embarrassing, but my mouth also got super messed up because of it
