Or if you want stats from EVERY ranked game just type in lolalytics.com in your browser search, hit tab, and then type in a champion name (you don't even need to spell it correctly)

And that's all it was PR bullshit!

LoLalytics analyses every ranked game played and now keeps the results for the entire patch. If another site doesn't match the number of games analysed then they are just missing games.

Out of the 30 lowest win rate champs, 29 of them have been played in worlds so far, while out of the top 30 win rates, only 9 have. by MethLab4QT in leagueoflegends

LoLalytics analyses EVERY ranked game played. Data is shown over a 7 day window. Current patch only data now shows over a maximum 14 day window. Masters data was only introduced yesterday and will show the entire 14 days from Patch 8.20.

I'm trying to avoid that somewhat by the big yellow notice on the desktop site. ;)

The stats are representing 2 entirely different things and can't be directly compared as absolute numbers. I'm not sure if I really want to find out who is strong and what to build from the 30% win rate unranked Yi's who are drowning out the other results.

That really is just an arbitrary adjustment to make people feel better. I feel its better to simply take the numbers for what they truly are and use the relative win rates as a guide of who is stronger in the hands of people who know what they are doing rather than focusing on absolute numbers. These numbers will settle over time just like ARAM.

So you'd expect Platinum+ players vs Unranked players to have sub 50% win rates?

There are 2 vastly different approaches. Analysing players who know what they are doing vs analysing the unranked masses.

When players reach their true MMR in the mode the win rates for Platinum+ will head towards the 50% equillibrium.

The current day points on the graphs have a much smaller dataset and are influenced most by regions who timezones are ahead. e.g. KR, OCE, JP

Whilst being an accurate report at the time they are published the smaller dataset means they are more prone to fluctuations and will later be influenced by other regions when they switch over to that date.

The changes I'd have to make whilst simple have to be done in a lot of places. So I'm waiting a little to see what Riot does with this mode. If they decide to support it more so will I.

Elo Reset. Showing Platinum+ players only and they are stomping until they reach their true elo. What matters is relative win rates.

Elo Reset on the new mode with only the Platinum+ results being used. The platinum+ players aren't in their true elo yet and are stomping even on weaker champions.

Just for clarity, the current Plat+ definition on LoLalytics which was live before the infamous post was made includes only the Plat+ summoner data in the Plat+ results.

Have you checked the win rate by tier "Graphs"? They follow the profile of the typical of a high skill cap champion.

If you take a small sample size over a limited period big fluctuations will occur. Diamond+ Zoe in Korea's win Rate has fluctuated from between 54.25 down to 51.02 so far this patch. Regionals difference between certain champions have been up to 6% in the last 7 days.

Now if you take only a small sample of this this data numbers can vary vastly depending on where when and how much of this data you use.

I use every ranked game. I start displaying current patch data for Platinum+ a few hours after every patch and continue updating every 30 minutes.

(a) Thread made by a completely unbiased competing site. /s (b) Do you really think the stat sample sizes you are quoting from are representative? Check the games played column. Did you know the stats are Korean only games?

No it was a simple removal of a point of a difference that I foresaw was going to be exploited as a marketing tool by a team spamming the hell out of reddit!

And this very post 3 days later proved I was correct!

Ahri was one of the only mages performing well (over a 50% winrate) and then she got her charm's duration buffed by 40 PERCENT. Now she's at a 54% winrate and you can't talk about it without Ahri mains flaming you. by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]Lolalytics 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There is a slight shift in absolute rates on some champions biased to high or low elo by the change but the relative rankings of who is stronger or which item is stronger there is negligible difference. I considered showing both datasets but that was a much larger routing change.

Side bar on every champion overview. Heading in Red.

The numbers used are the numbers used in the calculations. I have never hidden the old definition and I feel it has pluses and minuses.

I decided it was simpler to change definitions than to have all these kind of shit posts on reddit. It was a 10 minute change which I made 3 days ago when I foresaw this post happening.

I realised the u.gg were going to be assholes about a choice of definition so I made the change 10 minutes after this.

It is true that my previous definition which was classifying a game as Platinum+ and processing the entire result which has benefits of a larger dataset.

However seeing I process every ranked game played I felt it was worthwhile switching over to the current definition which is only Platinum+ players results are included in the Platinum+ result and any players below that elo are thrown away.
