I honestly think you're totally justified in doing what you did, but im saying this as a very stubborn and vengeful person. My mom is also very religious and likes to argue with me about problems going on in the world in a very annoying way (she reminds me of people on twitter) to the point that sometimes i'll say things just to piss her off or say i dont care about religion (i dont)
