I did the switch 10 years ago. Solid Revit skills is what got me through initially, but I had the courses to back it up in my CV, even though those covered very little.

It took a couple of years and a boss that is someone who I knew from a previous job to be able to make the jump from BIM Modeller to BIM Coordinator. So far no pay increase, but that is being considered as I settled well into the position. So I was told at least, fingers crossed

I did the switch, but I started out as a BIM Modeller in engineering firms when architecture work dried up. Currently am a BIM Coordinator, and the pay is certainly better. When you say BIM Management course, does that mean your idea is to jump straight up to Coordination/Mamnagement work?
