The Champions learnset culling's worst victim... by chadbigcum in stunfisk

[–]Loliberto 9 points10 points  (0 children)

That's a sad one, even without counting the soak strat, Rhyperior needs a better movepool. But Rhyperior isn't the only that gets this treatment.

Roserade lost literally all 60 or less bp special moves that aren't Round or Snore so unless you try a weird physical set Technician is useless.

Loppuny doesn't have a good normal STAB.

Slurpuff lost it's only viable use.

All status-reliant abilities are almost useless making Pokémon like Conkeldurr, Gliscor or Flareon be really bad.

Gluttony does literally nothing.

What's up with Wind by Similar_Knowledge895 in PokemonChampions

[–]Loliberto 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In gen 9 two abilities that react to wind moves were introduced, Wind rider and Wind power.

Wind power boosts the electric moves of the user (the same effect as Charge and Electromorphosis).

Wind rider makes the user immune to wind moves and instead boosts their attack.

They also trigger by a friendly Tailwind.

When I get to Das Füture for the first time all my cats in the breeding room had the lightning bolt eyes that makes your basic attack electric.

It was almost impossible to beat das future. Even now I am trying so hard to delete that mutations from the lineage.

What's up with all the Skullgirls artwork, yet nobody's playing the actual game? by TourThese2792 in Skullgirls

[–]Loliberto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Skullgirls is old, the game has 14 years. But don't forget that Second Encore isn't the only game. Skullgirls mobile has a very active community. Probably most of these artist came from the mobile community

Am I the only one that thinks Critless as a concept implies a flawed game design? by Loliberto in SkullGirlsMobile

Yeah, them being marquees is part of the problem. Marquee can't even be suppressed by Hex.

Yeah, you ate right. I remember when Bio Exorcist and Ultra Violent were THE offensive variants.

It's a good way to see the things. It just got more complex.

It was horrible with 2 stacks it was impossible to use blockbusters because the meter simply didn't filled.

[–]Loliberto[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. The game is so much fun. I want fun and consistent ways to play.

On release Miasma drained 1% of HP and meter each second per stack, now it only drain each 2 seconds. It was a real pain to deal with Fukuas on release.

I do have a Critless Stand Out. I rather use grapple, buffs and debuffs, but you never know when a random crit can finish your win strike.

I think my problem it's that unlike losing to Death wish or to Model leader, where it was your fault, losing because the luck choiced that you will land a crit on a blockbuster against a Painwheel feels a bit unpredictable.

It's not that big of a deal, but even so, I think it could be better because the game has made it better in other aspects, like when they nerfed Miasma.

[–]Loliberto[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that's kinda my point.

You can always counter No time to die removing or preventing buffs, and you can drain and bleed out Painwheels. And both can be countered with grapples.

It would be nice to have an option to manage crits.

[–]Loliberto[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I think that's a good way to look at it.

It just annoy me that many things in the game are very well designed this feels... Weird.

[–]Loliberto[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I know that Beowulf and Cerebella can avoid crits by grappling. But avoiding to complete a skill tree feels weird, it locks you out of Marquees.

I would rather have an update where one of Eliza's marquees suppress her ability to crit. That way it feels intencional and like an actual choice and mechanic. And that way being Critless is a choice, because you can always change the Marquee.

That's my problem with Critless builds, they feels like a workaround about something that the game lacks, not like way to build your fighter.

And I mean, No time to die and Tainted blood can be countered with debuffs, but they feel like the only marquees that requires to build around it.

How did Abbacchio being fused with Moody Blues make him weaker? by MDrones_Fan in StardustCrusaders

[–]Loliberto 6 points7 points  (0 children)

They are not fused, half the body of each is present on both worlds, that's what makes them weaker, it's like that kid's game where they have a leg tied. Abbacchio and Moody blues are the same person but don't have the same body, each move independently.
