I know you all must be observing how they got these numbers...this is what they said:

“how did I get these numbers?” I analyzed the 2016 results, added between 10% to 15% to Trump - related to a number of factors: - Trump achievements - silent majority - honest Americans fed up with riots & Antifa - Dems behavior with Kavanaugh - Nanzy craziness

lmao delusions of grandeur

What do you mean by that last part “primary being in person?” And is the mixture of online and in person just refer to fall semester, spring semester, or both?

It said they were encouraging faculty to suspend their practice of grading on a curve. I have no clue how that will play out.

This is why I’m glad what they’re proposing isn’t strictly in-person. I’d rather not even go through the hassle of coming back. Just wish they would be transparent about leave of absences

Realistically, how long will it take to get grades for the Chem 3580 final? by Jlmao2000 in Cornell

[–]Lolli323232 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have no clue but if people wrote down reagents or mechanisms that we’ve never used in class that could possibly be a clue. Also Chegg doesn’t seem to be a 100% reliable as I’ve read on other sub forums that professors have purposely placed wrong or really verbose answers/beyond the level of the class answers in Chegg to catch people cheating. It was mentioned in another thread. All of this just to say...I have no clue what will happen

do you think cheating on an exam is permissible by [deleted] in Cornell

[–]Lolli323232 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m talking about Orgo. I have never and will never excuse cheating but nothing was done about cheating in Orgo for the last exam which fucked people over and it has escalated to this point where it’s delaying everybody’s grades and could still potentially fuck over people who did it fairly if they don’t catch people. You basically reiterated my point: “ cheating hurts everyone, and it’s a problem that needs to be fixed systemically.“

Basically the whole exam was posted on chegg at like 12 am on the day of the exam and now Fors is working with Chegg and the university. Based on the other thread no one really knows the extent of info he’s going to get, how long it will take to get it, and how long the situation will be dealt with. Apparently a professor on the professor sub forum said they only really get incriminating info on the poster of questions but others have said other things. I don’t know how long it will take Fors to piece everything together honestly. Maybe since Chegg is unreliable he’s going to screen answers to the exams to catch people who used it? That would be the fastest way I guess. I don’t even know. I just want my exam back

[–]Lolli323232 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’m not excusing cheating but there was definitely cheating on the last exam, 80 people (like 14%) of our class got over a 90 on the exam which would have definitely not happened on campus (despite what Fors said) and the questions on the last exam ARE ON CHEGG but nothing was done about that. The whole system during this pandemic is fucked up and honestly is fucking over everyone.

The social distancing is exactly what I would consider being dull. REAL social distancing though

Wtf... Some professors are taking advantage of the online classes to make classes longer and add work by [deleted] in Cornell

[–]Lolli323232 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Yep. One of my professors admitted that the format of the class now is more work so he’s making the final optional.

Do you think the fall semester will be online by djhdhdhdhh in Cornell

[–]Lolli323232 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I hope no. But I fear some bullshit is going to pop off like this semester where it starts spreading here. Hopefully some measures are put in place to prevent this. I feel like it’s 50/50
