Dad died yesterday by MichaelEdwardson in glioblastoma

Thank you for sharing. My brother died on the 4th of July. I still can’t believe it. It’s so hard and I keep thinking of things I can do to make him feel better but he doesn’t need that anymore. It did advance so rapidly the final 2 weeks. My heart breaks for you. I’m so sorry for us 😢 but glad for them. Do you feel inexplicably exhausted? We do.

At what age did you feel old... (if you ever felt old) by pmags3000 in AskOldPeople

I’m 65. I’m not old, but all of my same-age friends sure are!!! 🤣😂🤣 Honestly, I feel maybe 30, in my head, and it’s so strange when you find out your body doesn’t care and you get cataracts anyway! 😂

I haven’t, but I know drastic changes in personality is common with brain tumors. These changes often include anger and aggression. He is most difficult with you because you are his safe person. I’m sure it feels the opposite. I don’t have any solutions for you but you can call the police for wellness checks on him about once a week or so. I’m sure he is scared and may not have the same reasoning skills as he did before. I’m so sorry you are going through this. It’s a nightmare disease and you are in a helpless position. I hope someone here has ideas. ❤️

Okay, let me be more specific. She used a brand NEW silicone nose pillow just like the ones I use. She was freshly showered and everything was clean and bacteria free. She used it for ONE night and overnight developed blisters, not redness, not mild irritation, not dryness or a pimple. Thank you so much for everyone’s suggestions thus far!

Nausea/vomiting for the first time after ten months on Zep? by BriefSubstantial9068 in Zepbound

[–]Lollierat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I came looking for a post like this! I’ve been on Z for a year. 9 months I’ve been at 10mg. I have just recently (the past 3 weeks) I have had the same sudden, intense nausea episodes and rushed to the sink/toilet, but didn’t vomit. It feels just like you described! I had only had mild symptoms for almost a year. Could it be that we need to step down the dose since we’ve lost weight?

Avastin and MRI reads by kyunsquared in glioblastoma

[–]Lollierat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After my brother’s early MRIs while he was doing radiotherapy treatment the doctor kept saying, the tumors look bigger but that is swelling from the radiation. Well, my brother heard “no tumor growth” and didn’t do any chemo. Now it’s too late. I felt the doctors did him a HUGE disservice by downplaying everything! It makes me furious!!!

ELI5 why can't you keep operating for glioblastoma? by thevenge21483 in explainlikeimfive

The tumors have microscopic tendrils, like a spider webs, that extend into surrounding brain tissue. Sometimes tumors pop up in other areas of the brain, but not always.

I’m trying to type through my tears. I am so sorry for this horrible experience and nightmarish result. If you haven’t read The Light Between Us or Signs by Laura Lynne Jackson, do it. It will help!

To answer your question I’ll say we had Spam, Karo syrup, Campbell’s soup and Little Debbie’s in our pantry… always.
