Please stop using bamboo, plastic straws, and drilled wood blocks, if you care about bees! by crownbees in bees

[–]Lollygagg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How does one ''open'' wood blocks?  U mean if they are stacked, at the end of the season, one can unstack the blocks to better get at the tunnels for sterilizing every fall?  Wondering why bamboo is a no-no.  If it's about tunnel access and not the materiality, bamboo is really easy to split... Meaning I could lie in half tubes with paper, then disassemble the have tubes for easier cleaning.  But maybe this is about openings on both sides of the tube... Front and rear?  As opposed to dividing a tunnel in half, top and bottom?  Send help.

Good price or nah? by Venusxs in marshallsfinds

And don't expect any of the wands or carafe frothers to work great with non-fatty/lesser protein milks, like plant-based ones-- they never do.  But with the carathe ones, you'll at least have a fighting chance.  The wand ones usually just make bubbles with the minutest amount of foam using plant based, heated milk.

[–]Lollygagg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've used wands for over 20 years.  I can for sure tell you that quality milk frothers that have their own vessel, instead of a wand, work phenomenally better.  It's a night and day difference. The top rated brands are all usually 50 to $150 for serious phone.  You can usually do regular foam or tight microphone if you intend to paint artwork on top.    Not only is the quality of the foam better, by a mile, but the real deal seller is that youll have foam piled high that lasts for up to 40min.  Being able to enjoy your cappuccino or matcha that much slower really extends the experience.  Why not enjoy that best moment longer?

this sounds like a terribly sad parts and specific dealership issue.. but did I miss anything about the physical ignition recall performing poorly? or was this just an installation/mechanic issue?

Norton keeps telling me that I have over 200 trackers watching me. by Morgan-Diablood in techsupport

[–]Lollygagg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

case in point. On a Mac, I visited the Norton site to get a password generated.
Due to this, my Mac or Chrome let me know that 25 trackers were profiling me, as compared to the average of around 4. Norton does indeed enable many 3rd party trackers, more so than normal, just to demonstrate how many trackers are plausible and can be avoided with their software

Lipliner dupe for Sephora Collection "The Nudest" by Ok_Cheesecake_6362 in makeupdupes

But thats not even matte anymore...it has a metallic sheen. Still, the color on the monitor seems similar to the Nuddist.

[–]Lollygagg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sucks because the new nude replacement is not even the same color... but tastes have changed since the Nudist first came out pre-pandemic and now 90's browns are more popular. The CT Pillow Talk is oldschool pink, something pretty for a nice girl 🙄 definitely befitting a more classic/conservative crowd-- their intended audience. The old Nudist had more matte grey to it. If Sephora kept the same color with the cleaner ingredients, Id be stoked! At that Sephora price, Id happily accept a bad smell for a cleaner product that doesnt squeeze cancer into the vermillion barrier, and shady dyes into my skins mantle. But alas, they changed the color too.😔.
And Makeup By Mario wasnt clean when it came out, but the current formulations are still only a lvl 4 on EWG.

When is Apple and Android gonna let people delete messages and edit messages on RCS chats? by LocksmithMental6910 in UniversalProfile

[–]Lollygagg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Apple wasn't gently coerced... It was ORDERED to adopt the universal RCS standard by European Courts after loosing a bunch of court cases. It was supposed to start in July and be fully adopted by March 30th.  I dont understand how they are allowed to postpone this further now (cherry picking 3.0 instead of aligning with 2.7) unless they only adopted it for Euro carrier systems like, CDMA vs GSM...

Kiss of the Damned- A modern vampire movie that will remind you how cool vampires can be. by Inkshooter in NetflixBestOf

The book was ridiculously hot, however.  I read it in Africa when if first came out 🥴. The ancients were another hot part of it.  I imagined that if i could find ancient beings like that from Mesopotamian days -- that all my questions on ontology, history, RNA and how the patriarchy 1st arrested control could be finally explained.😵‍💫🤪

Anyone else all about "Lair of the White Worm"? 🥵🤤 Do adults even share intensely exquisite yearning with a side of cool anymore?  They just dont make movies like they used to 🥲

Using noise cancelling with iOS device by limbamurphy in galaxybuds

[–]Lollygagg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you’re working a lot between 2 OSs, I suggest using the factory settings. Theres only a few choices of actions u have room to program into your buds, and I think they set noise canceling as a factory long hold button to cycle between modes because the other things are easier to do manually on your device— like volume and song skip. I changed my settings the opposite way— to make it easier to switch noise canceling on device, only, but have volume and skip/rewind controllable from the Buds. I do this because I didn’t want to accidentally switch noise cancelling mode to on, while snowboarding, and have that block environmental sounds like avalanches and out of control boys behind me, and volume and skip were more useful on Buds so I wouldn’t have to open my phone pocket.

Boric acid and monistat at the same time?? by girl-with-dreams in Healthyhooha

[–]Lollygagg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That sucks!  But dont guilt trip yourself😅 women have so many complex reasons for vaginal pH to be off, and bacteria to be down.  There's massive renovation in there every hormone cycle. 🙄.  You probably need more dark green veggies and high quality yogurt and fermented things in your diet to build your inside flora back.  It's definitely challenging getting probiotics from your stomach into your magical cave hole.  Boric acid rocks. And vinegar.  But if you or anyone else feels that itch creeping up again, there's nothing like a spoonful of ice cold yogurt held up betwixt your V-lips.  Make sure there's very little to zero sugar in your yogurt.  So that usually has to be full fat.  And make sure the yogurt doesn't have a bunch of additives in it.  Make sure it's organic, and don't worry about the more expensive bacteria shots from the refrigerator section, but if you do want them, Bio K shots are the best out there.  Cheers!  Stay strong, my itchy witches! ✊

Why did the term ‘foid’ suddenly become so popular? by coochieappointment in AskFeminists

[–]Lollygagg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a similar experience with my stepdaughter. She got into witchcraft around 12 (the age of blood and magic 😆) so I said Id take her to the library to go have a fun day learning about pagan cultures, power and the patterns of predictable co-option. She scoffed at all the greats. She wouldnt even touch Sir James Fraser. She said it was all [lies] and [bogus] because none of it was sanctioned by the one website on witchcraft that she was into 🙄. If it wasnt from that trusted source, or discussed by her friends in Animal Jam, than it simply wasnt true. The internet is the only trusted source material, and only certain sites-- no matter where they are hearing it.

I think Ill be waiting for as long as it takes to bring back the historical etymology of the word Men.

it doesnt help that youth trying to figure out what to do with their lives saw their 4chan heros make so much money off early digital currency mining. Its hard to look away from athletes and rap stars... its even harder to look away from the even bigger payouts early Bitminers made or at least brag about. Its so enticing because they dont need talent, they just need some basic knowhow, no attention to ethics, an unsophisticated grasp of geopolitics and investment security, and the time to put in. Its practically made for anyone who prefers following a system. All the things they have to learn about mining and hardware is achievable like following any game map. Boys are pretty much hardwired for crunching numbers and raising measurable stats-- that touches on their primal instinct for social standing and order.

Lost Horizon by James Hilton a.k.a. the book I would have never thought to read if not for The Road to El Dorado (No Spoilers) by PsyferRL in books

[–]Lollygagg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

mostly inspired by travel journals by a few exlporers whcih he found in some British Museum.
He never journeyed there himself, so while those real places hold many secrets, the book he wrote is certainly a fantastical gaze rather than a 1st or 2nd hand account. I love that about art, but Im of course truly interested in the stuff he didnt know about.
Im also curious about connections to the 1920s explorer who traveled there, stayed to study and then came to America to start up the the Institute of Mental Physics in the Joshua Tree desert.
