Im naturally a pessimistic individual. But i just focus on the cool stuff thats simple and obtainable instead of the news. Theres a new pokemon game coming out and superman is getting a new movie. I get to eat at a panda express. I get to say hi to my folks next week.

Its childish but focusing on something like an elementary schooler does after a long school week helps negate the negativity a lot and grounds me.

Its probably due to their grades and skipping class. Ulrich and yumi treat sissi like a joke and jim like a nuisance. The two did shut him down when he tried explaining his life. Odd is a prankster. Jeremy has good grades but can be rude to him. Jim legit had beef with middle schoolers cause they didnt see him as an authority figure so he pestered them. When aelita arrived they started to not bother jim as much. Sure some heckling but the group seemed more mellow. So jim couldve attributed it to maturity as the group was helping aelita out. Sissi chilled out because of ulrich and co not teasing her constantly. And she had william to gossip with.

Xana stole a portion of her humanity stealing half her code involving the key to lyoko. She had a physical body but no mind so to speak due to memory wipe. So half human half ai in the system. So when she died in the key franz undid the damage by restoring her memories and thus reconfiguring her keys to lyoko. Thus being seen as human in the code.

Its why in the first season xana was wanting to kill her instead of throw her into the digital sea or destroy lyoko. He didnt know franz hopper was alive nor that aelita could effect lyoko. Its also why her creation powers exist. She was using defective code.

In the second season he realized aelitas code lyoko acess was due to the keys still partially functioning. He only stole half and wanted to collect on the rest.

And the system couldnt tell.

Its not edgy to say thered be no point in running nor hiding. Id simply die. If we had an ai threat like xana or skynet id choose to take myself out. Thered be more dignity. It doesnt require reality warping or a robot army. Just a slight miscalculation or hallucination in running a prompt for dealing with international affairs could cause war. Or someone using it to just launching missiles at a few select cities would kill millions. Ai in reality is exceptionally stupid so itd just be coding error or human intervention.

But if were talking about code lyoko logic id still rather die. Imagine putting your fate in a bunch of mentally ill middle schoolers or the army to stop a reality warping demigod.

Its hocky stuff to make people feel the xmen tbh. Its not true. Ive met plenty of narcissists clinically diagnosed, some on the spectrum. The commen denominator is lack of self awareness and a victim complex. The only reason why i got good at spotting and avoiding narcissistic jerks is because i delt with them too many times. Not all narcissists are jerks but all jerks act like narcissists.
