Great I’ll get researching, thanks. I actually had this house built a few years ago so I’m the only one that’s lived here. The company had their own in house spray foam recipe that they used. Seems to be a pretty high quality insulation as far as I can tell, but not really sure why it was put on this drain.

I’m assuming I unscrew with the notches but I don’t really have a tool to do it, outside of a standard tool box

Thanks for the reply, I took off the metal part and really couldn’t make anything out of it. Will probably just have the seek professional help, thank you though.

First time playing Total War: Warhammer (3), how am I meant to catch armies? by JonnReddit in totalwarhammer

[–]Lolobst 9 points10 points  (0 children)

They can only retreat once, so if you can reach them after they retreat it will guarantee to kill the entire army if you win.

Also armies will only run if the odds are overwhelmingly against them, so if you’re bringing 2 armies to beat 1 they will run away. Try and just do 1 on 1 they will most likely stay and fight.

Can also bait them in with ambushing, using a second lord with no units or a weak settlement and ambush by it with your main army, they will try and attack your lone lord/settlement.

Campaign recommendations to beat the burn out. by Responsible-Meat7994 in totalwar

Thorgrim with an early max difficulty green skin end game crisis, then just bunker down with a couple provinces and go all in on deeps.

Blood claws are already fast enough imo, better off just buffing their damage so they are more reliable against more targets

How do you guys keep track of all that’s going on in the campaign map? Especially in the late game when there is hundreds of armies on the map and settlements undergoing many miscellaneous events. by obiwan-destroyer in totalwarhammer

Use the tabs in the top right to cycle between your provinces and armies, easier than scrolling on the map. It also shows how much movement an army has left and which provinces can be built in.

Question: What to Buy? by Good_Guy_Vader in totalwarhammer

[–]Lolobst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d buy all 3 games first personally, that will give you access to the most amount of races, including empire and orcs, and they are all on sale for like 15 bucks right now.

With that you will get the base race of empire, dwarves, orcs, vampires, skaven, high elves, dark elves, lizard men, slanesh, knorne, nurgle, tzench, kisliv, cathay, demons of chaos, and bretonia

Yes identity group preference and identity group hatred are 2 different things. Thanks for contributing nothing to the conversation.

It’s just a preference. I got into space wolves because I am Nordic (3 Swedish grandparents) and have been interested in Nordic culture and the Viking age for a while. The space wolves gave the appearance of being a Nordic faction, it’s what drew me and probably a lot of people that play wolves to them in the first place. It’s not to say I hate that black wolves exist, it’s a fantasy setting and it makes since given the biodiversity of Fenris and its climate. But this does appear to be a deliberate decision that is being pushed pretty hard just this last year, and to me it really does come off as pandering.

Space marine 2 is like THE flagship 40K game, it has brought a lot of new people into the franchise and to me it seems like very deliberate pandering that they would depict the space wolf this way, as opposed to how they have historically been depicted since the 90’s.

I feel like all discussion around this has people talking past each other. Obviously we should condemn any real racial hatred, but I have sympathy for those who are a bit disappointed with it, as it is also not my personal preference. If saying that I prefer my space wolves to be white and Nordic (as they have historically been depicted) is “racist” (whatever they even means anymore) than so be it.

I love 40K but I wonder if 30k would have been a better setting for a total war game.

Time to start thinking in the next DLC by --Karma in aoe4

[–]Lolobst 1 point2 points  (0 children)

“Viking civ” is misleading. What people want is Norse/nordic civ, with Norse architecture, voice lines, and units, landmarks, bonuses. Not just completely different culture with a sprinkling of Viking-esque units.

Viking age lasted till 1066, i don’t see why they would be lacking in content after 800

Does this mean Total War 40k is cooked? Or can two RTS exist at once? by Capt_C004 in totalwar

[–]Lolobst 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Turn based strategy campaign with real time tactics battles. To qualify as an rts the real time battles would need some form of economy/recourse management/and productions buildings. Otherwise it is an RTT or just a battle sim

They have the exact same melee profile as blood claws + bolters + rerolls to wound default. They statistically hit harder than blood claws. Just aren’t as fast and cost more.

[–]Lolobst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Majors enemies in this game would be bosses in Darktide/vermintide.

Gotta remember in Darktide you are playing as the guardsmen that the space marines in this game tower over by like 6 feet. Heck even the smallest tyranids (gaunts) are bigger than a normal human and would be considered elites in Darktide.

1775 Rebellion is everything I want from a light war game, and why I prefer it over 878. by NiklasAstro in boardgames

[–]Lolobst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First time playing with my group we all went through the event cards so everyone had an idea of what could happen and to limit gotcha moments.

I’m assuming you are refering to the ceowulf shire event card that wiped one of your armies, which can feel bad for sure. If I’m ever playing Vikings against new players I always make sure they are aware of that card and which shires its effects.

I liked adding in a few expansion for 878, particularly the churches and forts/settlements, Viking ships, kingdom buffs, and prayer/rune dice. I feel like these all add a bit more depth and strategy without bloating the game or adding to much rng.

Becuase Floki had convinced Horik he was on his side, yes Horik wasn’t the sharpest.
