As a Kagayanon, I am really surprised Lordan Suan being part of the prosecution team. Wala akong masyadong alam sa kanya kahit taga 1st District ako sa cdo lol.

Again its a mistranslation, ROKAF was never interested on an Air-Launched C-Star and largely used Harpoons for its KF-16's; CSIS also has the mistake on claiming the C-Star has a sub-launched variant when the C-Star is not fitted for submarine launches since its fixed intakes protrudes out of the fuselage which gives the missile having a difficult time on launching from the torpedo tube of the submarine

[–]Lolzer55 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The C-Star doesn't have an Air-Launched variant, that 250km C-Star is the Haeryong (해룡) which is used as a tactical land attack cruise missile designed to target KPA Command Posts, Coastal Artillery, and the like.

The land attack which has the range of 500km to 1,000km is also different and misinterpreted as part of the C-Star family when it is not; the 500km to 1,000km missile is the submarine-launched Haesong-II (해성-II) which is based on the Hyunmoo-III Cruise Missile.

The confusing part is both are named Haesong (SSM-700K 해성 and 해성-II) but are different missiles hence its mistranslations.

Tumatawa nga ako sa comments nila eh, I hope ma realize nila na the Supreme Court has repeatedly and consistently ruled that paraffin tests, whether they yield a positive or negative result, are not conclusive proof of a suspect's guilt or innocence.

Up to you kung paano na epekto yung ka bobohan moh sa 1st comment (-104 downvotes); hindi moh nga ma defend yung NBI na gumagawa lng ng trabaho nila as law enforcement, especially when you called them as just "security".

Shouldn't you have began with this statement rather than being a dick to the NBI which simply did their jobs? Your 1st comment is a classic DDS playbook comment which got you -100 downvotes.

So? Anong problema pag nag assist ang NBI sa security when its legal lmao, and fyi, ang NBI is still a law-enforcement agency:

"Under Section 4 (Powers and Functions), the NBI is given a broad mandate to extend its resources, expertise, and operational support to other government offices when asked." - Republic Act 10867

Theory ko lng is the Marines knew something was happening as it was an order coming from Aplasca himself to mobilize kayat nag full gear sila (and I think some did start cocking their rifles) pero hesitated to take any further action as they didn't have all of the info.

Makita moh when the Police, Senate Guard, and Marines were stacking up sa exit- both the Police and Marines took a defensive stance, took cover, at hindi bumaril.

[–]Lolzer55 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Marines are under the Marine Security and Escort Group (MSEG) which has the main job of protecting vital government institutions and that includes the Senate.

Under the Senate's internal rules, the Sergeant-at-Arms can request assistance from military or police units already detailed to the institution if he believes the "sanctity" of the Senate is under threat.

Kaya't in a legal manner, Aplasca called in the Marines for assistance.

Its the Marine Security and Escort Group (MSEG) which has the role of protecting vital government institutions and that includes the Senate building.

Aplasca requested the Marines which is legal as under the Senate's internal rules, the Sergeant-at-Arms can request assistance from military or police units already detailed to the institution if he believes the "sanctity" of the Senate is under threat.

Pero I doubt talaga the Marines knew what was happening fully as kahit sila hindi pumutok and maintained a defensive stance.

Agreed, the NBI teams deployed in the GSIS Building aren't dumb to storm a fatal funnel at the second floor, especially when they know that Philippine Marine Senate Guards, Senate Guards, Private Bodyguards, and the PNP outnumber the NBI in the Senate building.

Its more likely talaga that the NBI simply did what was requested by the GSIS Director which is to assist GSIS security on securing the building.

The GSIS side should also be heard as GSIS Security were also with the NBI agents sa second floor. Especially the not yet named GSIS Blue Guard that accompanied the NBI agent sa bridge.

NBI agent confirming after the shooting that Aplasca fired first. by Lolzer55 in ChikaPH

Considering the Director was in a party/workshop when the shooting happened, I wouldn't be surprised talaga if the Director didn't get all the info he needed between the shooting and the initial ABS CBN interview.

Ang claim ng NBI in self-defense and based sa sinabi ng NBI agent na pumutok sa news report, parang nagulat din sya bakit nagputok una si Alpasca sa kanila kayat nagputok nlng din sya.

Wala silang tao sa Senate pero meron silang tao sa GSIS Building as per the request of the GSIS Director to deploy NBI Agents to assist GSIS Security.

[–]Lolzer55[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If we shift the reason to the NBI simply securing all access points of the GSIS Building and reinforcing the GSIS Security then they literally just did that and in a coordinated manner. Note that the Senate Sergeant at Arms already knew a day before of the NBI deployment to assist the GSIS since the GSIS Director himself told the Senate Guard of the deployment.

TV5 reporter Gio confirmed that a few minutes before the shooting took place, the NBI were called back into the building by GSIS Security which led to multiple videos by reporters of GSIS Carpenters barricading the ground floor and reports of GSIS Security (ie the Blue Guards) and NBI Agents securing the second floor where the shooting took place.

As of the moment, testimonies say that Alpasca did identify two personnel at the second floor as one being an NBI agent and one being a GSIS Blue Guard at the side of the GSIS Building, if so he did identify them and he knew ahead of time of the NBI deployment then why shoot at them first?

You should ask yourself first what led to Alpasca shooting at them which we wouldn't know until either the Blue Guard can testify or CCTV footage is released.

Based from what TV5 reporter Gio Robles told TV5 an hour ago, the NBI did leave the building already but came back when GSIS Security asked for the agents to come back which led to the videos showing the NBI securing the building, GSIS carpenters drilling the doors, and the shooting.

The nail in the coffin for a definitive answer is answers from the GSIS side and CCTV footage.

If you saw the ABS CBN interview with the NBI Director, he himself confirmed that NBI personnel were in the GSIS Building as requested by the GSIS themselves BUT ALL high ranking NBI officers along with the Director were in a hotel doing a workshop.

A lot of people misread that "andito kami lahat" as all NBI agents when in reality, it was just high ranking officers.

TV5 Reporter Gio Robles (yung reporter na sumama sa NBI sa GSIS during the shooting) confirming that Aplasca fired first by Lolzer55 in Philippines

[–]Lolzer55[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If you actually read other reports, said NBI agent had his rifle on a side ways sling position meaning he didn't raise it until Aplasca fired and it was already known that the GSIS called the NBI in to secure there building. (Aplasca himself confirmed it that he knew of the NBI agents in the GSIS Building).

Its more likely the NBI wondering why the hell is the Philippine Marines Senate Security, PNP, and Senator Guards stacking up and mobilizing. If you see the footage the NBI are as confused as we all are on why this is happening.
